I have played my fair share of horrible opponents this guy takes the win as the worst, constantly doing the bunt cheese, cheap bunts, constant quick pitch, watching home runs replays anything that makes a toxic opponent this guy did. He starts out the game hitting a home run watches the replay then hits one a few batters later does the same thing, meanwhile doing the bunt cheese thing constantly. I come back and in the top of the 6th I take him back to back, I proceed to return the favor of watching my home run replays and after the last home run it got to much for him and he quit. These type of people make online play absolutely horrible, but just in case you see this hahahahahahahahahaha you are a joke. Anyways for anyone that sees this don’t be like this guy, it ruins the online experience, majority of this nonsense drags the game on and just makes online play terrible.
Pretty sure you're not allowed to post a players gamertag.

It's actually up to you what you want to do. I'm just saying that the forum moda usually flag threads with a players ID in them. But of course I haven't seen a mod in ages.

Yeah that’s what I did, if a person is going to be this toxic and ruin gameplay for a lot of people, then his game tag should be exposed, I can understand people justifying it by saying it’s part of the game, but I think most people would agree it just ruins online play. My main complaint is not the fact someone is trying to rub it in my face it just extends the games by so much longer.

I my opinion too bad for them. Since SDS refuses to monitor their own game, they should let us self police it for them. These clowns need to be exposed. I would love it if they all got banished to a division of their own and they could play bunt baseball all day and normal players could have a better experience.
At least maybe if they got reported enough for cheesing SDS could force them to have a cheese icon and you would know it right away and could either quit right away or at least be prepared for it, although even in my limited experience I can usually tell from the lineups they will cheese.

You can also add LADodgers Bisons to the cheeser list. His entire lineup is bunt/steal cheese. I just save myself the aggravation and quit on him. Let him have his cheap win since SDS won't fix a blatantly broken exploit.

It's not that they don't want to, it's because they legitimately don't know how to fix it. They've been trying to balance the bunt mechanic for years, but it's either stupidly overpowered or completely ineffective.
Sometimes you lay down the perfect bunt on a pitch that's at eye level or in the dirt, and other times you pop up or bunt foul a pitch right down the middle. That's what incompetent devs will get you, they can't fix it.

this is absolutely true mate
i never bunt because i feel its broken at its core - based on what you just said

I think that's why I get so mad at the cheesers. They spent all their time learning how to bunt and won't do anything else. I can't even legit bunt with a pitcher trying to move a runner over.
FYI the cheeser I played was a 700 level player, so it's clear that he has mastered the exploit and will never play like a normal human ever again.

I understand your point, and I won't speak for OP, but personally these cheesers are a detriment to an enjoyable experience. If I had any say they would at BEST be banished to their own division where they would only play cheesers like themselves, but I would prefer permanent bans.
I know its pretty extreme, but how many people who were new to the game, experienced this a couple of times when they started right away and quit, never to return again?
How much money does it cost SDS in new sales vs. the money the cheesers spend on microtransactions? Based on the level of cheating they still do I suspect that the cheesers spend the most, which is why they are allowed to use their dirty tactics.
While it doesn't help me personally, but I wish I could see these "players" get what they deserve when they face a 900 level player.

What drives me nuts is when I legitimately am going to bunt the game seems to take it away. Lots of fouls on balls down the middle just advancing the runner. It is annoying

I still not get it why replaying is toxic. It is prox 30 seconds and happens few times per game (at most). I do replay some (but only the good not the cheap exit velo ones) HRs and I do not mind my opponents do it. It „prolongs“ a game about 2-3 minutes at most. If I take lots of pitches, it takes more time, think about that.
To me it is the same with real-life-bat-flips, which also annoys lots of people and I do not get that too.
EDIT: What is annoying in my oppinion: Bunt dancing So is diving in the outfield on high popus and drag bunting with guys like Frank Thomas (which is more of an exploit).
Another annoying thing is hitting multiple Batters on purpose.
So do not get me wrong. I do not understand the annoying thing about replays and the only thing I hear is: „The community does not like it“ -
There is no greater joy than beating an idiot.
"Idiot" is the word we older folks used before the less offensive "toxic".
We also used "[censored]" to note a person or action that was "[censored]"."That player was toxic and he played with a questionable strategy." -2022
"Dude, that idiot played like a total [censored], what with his shenanigans." -1993 -

You can flex on your own time and watch the post game highlight reel. It's doubly infuriating when its a 95 MPH exit velocity and barely clears the wall.
I don't care about in game bat flips, but in real life it's showboating, and perhaps instead of working on how cool their bat flip is, perhaps they could learn some plate discipline and maybe in 2023 we can have more than 10 guys above .300 for MLB. They should act like they are professionals. They are supposed to be able to hit home runs.
Regarding the diving and what I call "field cheesing" is just dumb in my opinion. It does not bother me at all.
I will openly admit that on a few occasions I have gone on tilt for massive bunt cheesers getting rewarded and since SDS won't fix the issue, nor let us self police it's the only way I can get a little satisfaction. Admittedly it's childish, and I don't do it very often.
-
@darkblue1876_PSN Thanks for the feedback. I am with you in this „rubbing the nose on a 95mph bad exit-velo-HR“.
But: In my oppinion you guys get into it too much and the same goes with real-life-„Hey, you showed me off“. It leads to lots of frustration (which has what purpose?) and injuries (retaliation Hit-by-pitches), that benefit no one.
I get your point but … to me, trying not to be disrespectful: A replay of my HR is something for me and not against you. Maybe try to view it that way and lower the frustration/hate-level
-

I get your point, but 99% of the people who highlight reel me are totally toxic. You can see it in their gameplay. I know I cannot accurately describe this in a post, but if you are smart enough to tell who is toxic and who is not I think you will understand.
I won't be playing 22 or 23 partly because I am frustrated that SDS hasn't and probably never will fix the exploits or reign in the cheesers, but mostly because I still have so much to do in my other versions of the game, but they should just remove the highlight replay from online play.
Removes all possibility of toxic players abusing it.
-
Online play is just not worth the frustration to me anymore. I’ve been a 98% offline player for the last two game cycles and I can’t imagine ever going back. Mini Seasons is so much more fun and so much less aggravating than RS. I would much rather enjoy my time playing offline, flip a little when things are slow at work, and then buy RS/Events/BR rewards on the market.
