Watch these videos of one of my recent Events games. Both videos are of the same game. After watching these if you can honestly tell what you watch isn't toxic; them I don't know what constitutes toxic play.

My opponent batting. As you can see he starts off with the bunt dancing and proceeds to do it ALL game. He also lags the connection so when the pitch is moving towards him it slows down and almost stops.

Same person. Me batting. Notice how I can't pause the game because the connection is so bad and how he is pitching as soon as the screen flips.

Edit: and I'm not even including the messages he sent me after the game when I called him out on it where he practically said that there is nothing nobody, not even SDS, can do to stop him and he'll play like this until people get tired of it and quit.

Man....how do you run into these guys all the time? I played BR to 100 pts and events to 10 wins (which for me took a while cause I suck) and the only "toxic" matchup I had was a dude watching his HRs....really just annoying but no biggie.

    I mean......I don't think I've had a bunt dancer in months.

I played that brewers207 in a ranked game and ran into the same thing. I just do not get the point in acting like that.

Why are people so bothered by their opponent “bunt dancing?” I’ve never understood. Who cares?

If anything I think it hurts the person who does it, messes up their focus and timing.

I mean a bad connection is a bad connection but I am not sure how anyone could be purposeful about it in the length of time that it takes for the pitch to reach the plate.

Oh, and at sometime, on either this forum or or reddit we have discussed metered pitching and the theory that further you go past the first mark into the red the less accurate the pitches are. You are essentially over throwing. I don't think it buys you anything to do so either as pitchers like Helsley will still hit 100 if they have outlier.

It’s toxic play. It’s griefing your opponent.
Why do the players that do this always quit when you go up on them? Why do they dashboard quit on a no doubt home run?

Because as clearly shown by the bunt dancing they are dbags. Bunt dancing gives no advantage whatsoever. Honestly when I see someone bunt dancing I’m relieved because I feel like they can’t be too good if they resort to that.

It's because some content creator probably complained. Someone hitting the bunt button before a pitch doesn't bother me at all. It isn't griefing, a person can completely ignore it. People need something to blame though

I turned off the communication because I know players like these love to trash talk even if they only can reach base via cheesing, but instantly disappear once you start hitting them.

I wish that SDS cared about it's online community and would lump these toxic sub humans into their own division where they can play bunt baseball all day long and dashboard themselves.

Unfortunately because there is literally zero consequences for their toxic nature they are free to continue to do so, making play for actual humans difficult at best, and have driven countless players to offline only.

I get at least 3 of these toxic people a week. MINIMUM. I have run into the same guy who has a BR flawless banner and ONLY faces me with Ryan and showboats every step of the way.

What is really frustrating is that he is CLEARLY good enough to destroy me playing like an actual human. Players like this are when I quit. I don't mind losing, but if you are just going to be a dirt bag then I don't have time for that.

For me it's not the bunt dancing that bothers me, but rather that's usually the first indicator that they are going to cheese non stop and do everything in their power to make you quit because most of them are not capable of winning legitimately.

I use Zone. I switched to Directional to try something and it didn't work so I switched back to Zone.

But thanks for assuming you know how I play by watching 2-3 mins of my gameplay.

I think it also messes with the person pitching. If you notice they, as well as others I encountered, stop once your pitcher starts his motion.

No, I don’t ”bunt dance” because for the life of me I can’t figure out how it hurts anyone but the batter’s timing.

The only reason I mention them possibly lagging the game is that was one out them many games I played last night where the connection was choppy. Even games when I was the away team had better connection than this one.

If you also look when he is pitching the ball moves smoothly towards the batter. But when I was pitching is 'stuttered' and almost stopped right before they swung. Pretty suspect that it only happened when they were batting.

Also, during the first few seconds of the second video I am spamming the Select button to try to pause the game and it wouldn't register.

So either they had a horrible connection and it affected my connection, as I assume the person who is the home team is 'hosting' or they were deliberately doing something to affect the connection.
