They should raise the stub cap on the next WS reward win

I'm assuming the last World Series reward will be Retro Finest Randy. Unfortunately he will be 1 million stubs permanently with a huge waiting list, same as Trout and Walter J. I think I'm still probably somewhere between 60-80th in line for Walter J and I don't even want to use him...he's just for binder completeness.
For those of us that don't expect to make World Series (with only hardcore players still out there), the only option to get Randy will be to get in line on the auction house immediately or grind out hundreds of innings. I'm assuming anyone who makes it to World Series will want to keep and use him given stubs are close to worthless for anyone who already has Mantle.
I have almost 9 million stubs at this point (including bogus underbids and duplicates in my binder) and every card in the game other than Walter J. I would bid a full 5 million stubs to get Randy before the game ends...but chances are I won't ever get to play with him.

Or you could just play 250 innings, and save the stubs. Yea its a grind and people in RS are typically the scum of the universe but if you go into it just trying to grind innings its not to bad.

Raising the stub cap to 5 million would just mean the line would start at 5 million.

I have more than enough stubs. The issue will be availability - there won’t be nearly enough of the card compared to those willing to pay 1 million stubs.

Is there any reason people assume it’s going to be Randy Johnson? I would rather it be one of the pitchers that doesn’t yet have a 99 but deserves one.

He’s pretty much the only card that will get people to play ranked seasons this late in the game.
If it’s anyone other than him then I am just going to move on to COD.
