What did they do to this new Mauer.

Played through the events to get 20 wins for stubs…
Griffey, Moncada, Foxx…all the cards I just picked up during the event are hitting .400-.500 no lie and Mauer is at .176.
I guess the sample size it only like 40-50 at bats, but I can usually feel if a card isn’t great. Seems to just be hitting weak flies to the warning track and balls directly at the 2B/SS. I was killing it with the old Mauer. Anyone else have similar results?

I was so jacked for this Mauer…Foxx is insane though. Don’t see how I could use Mauer over him.
I’m sure I’m just pressing since I had been waiting for the card. Hope he’s been good for everyone else.
Side note…this Soriano seems legit.

Dang. I just chose this card. Maybe that's why he has that puzzled look on his face in the Retro Finest.
I'm doing terrible with 99 Griffey. Always too early with him. -
I haven’t reached my first pack, but there is no doubt I will be picking Griffey. Then Foxx and Babe. The only two I don’t think I want as much as the others are Lindor and Mauer.

Stick with him!! I’ve had similar starts with really good cards that came from some hard outs, dashboards and pressing...even on All-Star and stuck it out to end up loving the card(Brett was a big one, Posada another).
I’ve been grinding the event as well and Mauer is killing it with me as well as all the other new bosses(all .400+)

I've been planning on taking him so I hope that he's good. I have 2 more bosses coming with having taken Griffey, Ruth and Gibson already. I'm thinking Mauer and Foxx for the last 2.

Jimmy Foxx is always a top card for me. He has the best swing for a right handed batter (I say RH batter because no swing beats Griffey for me). I don’t usually use him as a catcher though. I know a lot of people do. I like him at first because his speed is better than guys like Frank Thomas. Posada is hitting even better than I imagined at catcher, so I will keep him there for now. Don’t know what I am going to do with Ruth yet, I never trusted him in the OF. I wonder if they will fix Gehrig?

I also think that since he's a Takashi card, he's going to be needed more for collections than any single Finest card.

I absolutely love this new Mauer. He’s been one of my best hitters from this program.

Good to hear. Funny enough he got hot after I made the post. Think he is pretty close to .300 now.
