What would mean more to me than a bunch of crabby writers opinions, is the opinion of my peers. The men I played with and against. I absolutely guarantee they say Bonds was the best. I’ve heard Billy Wagner say it. I’ve heard Will Clark say it. I’ve Van Slyke say it. If I had that, I could care less about the [censored] HOF!!

My opinion is that it is really what you think. It's become such a tiresome argument that nobody wins.
I think it's up to you to believe what you want and that's fine. I think the whole Era tainted anything with what you saw and it will always be that way going forward, which is sad because I believe Judge did it clean. -

Babe Ruth also played less games per season, plus he had to face pitchers who where pitching from a higher mound. He still hit 60 HRs in a season. So, his record is different than Maris and now Judge’s HR record.

Record books sure…maybe not for long though, but what does agree with me is the HOF and you can bet the house that every player would rather be in there than have some record. Cheaters never win.
The writers agree with you, not the HoF. The writers are the ones who decide who gets in and who doesn't and since Bonds was widely considered to be a [censored] the voters hold that among other things against him and keep him out. He would've been in the HoF without steroids but his ego got in the way and couldn't stand McGwire and Sosa getting all the attention
Yeah they keep him out because he cheated his way to the top. You don’t get rewarded for cutting corners and cheating. Yes the HOF does agree other wise he would be in. He will never get in and he never should. Give it time, that HR “record” he thinks is his will one day be changed.
It would be pretty hypocritical of the league to take away his record when they were loving the ratings all those home runs brought in at the time and completely knew what was happening while turning a blind eye

You could nitpick and find a reason to add an asterisk to a lotta stats in the record book. IMO it's silly to waste time picking and choosing which era and advantages are ok vs which aren't.
