I just used the new Pujols for the first time and he does have the live series swing. That’s a big plus for me.
Big negative for me. I loved his Awards card from release.
I’ll give it some ABs, but I remember it being slow and not liking the stride.
I did like his Awards card a lot but his live series swing is so fast and smooth. You can even turn on inside fastballs. So far 5 at bats with 3 home runs.

I could be wrong but isn't everything down this year on cards? I'm not talking about Griffey or Mantle who are obviously down and should be getting a new cards. It seems like cards across the board aren't as juiced as last year.
I think it's true from the max stand point, but they raised some cards to provide way better versions than normal (see historically low power guys getting way above normal power attributes)
Oh yeah, good call. Like Ozzie has never had 99 power hahaha.

I feel like they’re up, but it’s been a slower creep. Retro Finest has changed the viability of the average legend in a good way. Would have been nice to see one for Albert from 2003 or 2008, though I understand why they went with a Milestone.

They juiced some cards but I feel this year they are really taking it slow on some of the stats. So it is hard to compare his card from last year to this one because of the nerfing of stats. Kindo of irritating but at the same time I understand. They didn't want complete endgame cards in July like they did last year. Albert should still be really good, especially paralleled up. He should get some run for me at 1st and 3rd, atleast until I get Shef.

Agreed. I think they've done a pretty good job not going OP too early. I haven't played online that much this year but I haven't seen many meta pitchers outside of Randy regularly used. Also, I found myself using players I've never really used before (the collection rewards players have been amazing for me)

So while I am happy to get a great Pujols card this could still be considered underwhelming for a 700 HR milestone card.
So in 150 years of Baseball there have been almost 20,000 players. Here is a guy who is only 1 of 4 who has reached 700 HR's. I would venture to say there is some FS card that has better stats. Underwhelming is an understatement. Doesn't matter if you are a Cardinals fan, an Angels fan or even a Dodgers fan. This guy deserves much more than they gave him. He has been great for the game period!!!!!
Mic drop.

It is but makes zero sense with all the boosted FS cards and Ozzie Smith. If you can create bloated stats for the previous then 1 of only 4 players to hit 700 hrs should have stats blown through the roof.

Completely agree.

How long is this card a available for?

Why are people paying 20K stubs for a free card lol

Because in 8 days when it expires and anybody who missed out on it will want to buy it and it will go for I'm guessing upwards of 40k.

Doubtful. The HRD X cards are all QS value.

Makes even less sense that his 500 HR milestone card last year was better.
-
The way SDS does their stats always confuses me. If they’re doing his stats off his overall play from this year then his stats are too high but if it’s based off his lifetime achievement like his 500 home run card then why is it lower? They’ve should’ve just made him 125 contact and power.
