We only get a usable Warren Spahn in even years, so maybe it's his turn. I love the old timers (by that I mean the super older timers), so I hope it's Big Train, Lefty Grove, Christy Mathewson, or maybe Bob Feller if they want to give it to one of these modern punks.
I can't wait to put together my annual Old Farts theme team, with Johnson, Mathewson, Cy Young, Lefty Grove, and Feller in the starting rotation. Throw in a lineup with guys like Foxx, Gehrig, Ruth, Honus, Mantle, Duke, Jackie, Musial, Irvin, Ashburn, Minnie, Aparicio, Mathews. Kiner, Kaline... That's good MLB:TSin'!

I just saw that too. I was thinking it couldve been him too but I thought he already had two other cards this year. I should’ve known that wouldn’t matter since everyone else get a bunch of cards. Also I think JR Richard could be good if they give him decent control. He definitely throws smoke.

I just saw that too. I was thinking it couldve been him too but I thought he already had two other cards this year. I should’ve known that wouldn’t matter since everyone else get a bunch of cards. Also I think JR Richard could be good if they give him decent control. He definitely throws smoke.
Hopefully they mess with his pitch speeds a bit. His other cards were basically a starter version of Dibble without what makes dibble good(102/92/82)

Just saw his card. 4 pitches and not much speed differential. Might be hard to pitch with him.

Does he have Outlier? I'm assuming so but without the speed differentials I guess it won't matter much.

He has a 4 seat,2 seam cuter and slider. 3 fastballs and breaking pitch but he does have outlier. Probably hard to tunnel with him. I’ll still try him.

Yeah. He might be good if they can’t catch up to the heat. Probably only for an inning or two.

I'm very disappointed about not having a splitter on him. Even a high velocity one would have worked. It's very difficult to find footage of him online outside of him embarrassing Reggie Jackson in the AS game.
Hopefully they fix it for next year, or just bring back Mike Scott.

Darn shame. He was so dominant in his era. Looks to be a 99 card with his 93 stats basically. Would have been great if he had another pitch.
