What counts as a "turn" in Conquest?

How do you ensure to stay on a turn? Is there any way to tell once you've done a turn? How do you make sure that, say, you're stealing fans and then playing a team is all on one turn?

Check the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It'll tell you what turn you're on, how may territories you control, and how many fans you have.

A round is one phase of each attack/steal/reinforce/move.
