Does anyone know if a pack's content is assigned when the pack is received or when it is opened?

Been wondering myself lately, someone probably knows but my guess is they are assigned when you get them. That closes any loopholes that people inevitably find to be able to “re-roll” if they don’t like what they get.

I could be wrong, but I think it depends on the pack. Specialty packs like events, battle royale, and world series only contain what was available when earned. You can't hold them until the next card is added and have it instantly.
For regular Show packs, I'm pretty sure you can hoard them until after a roster update and pull new common and bronze cards that were added. That would mean the cards inside are generated when opening.
I have no idea how packs like Big Dog and 5 Tool work, but I would assume its like Show packs. The tier is chosen at the time you open.

Depends. Reward packs for things like Ranked and BR are assigned at time of reward. Sho Packs are assigned at time of open.

Thank you. I was thinking of saving up packs (the show, biah, and biooc, chase) and opening them later, but I don't think I will now.
