Loving it so far. Just wanted to share a positive review from a fresh perspective.

Last time I had the show was for 2016 for Ps4. So it's been a while as that season was when the Jays had Bautista, Encarnacion, etc. Good times.

I know a lot of the veteran players have a lot of strong opinions on the game. I am the same with NHL since I'm a regular NHL video game player. Unfortunately that's just the business of sports games.

However, I really enjoy how easy thisgame is for new players. From the many options to play, the button layout and the batting options.

At first I tried buttons, but coming from NHL using analog with stride really helped me improve on my timing. I have also alternated between directional and PCI. I have stuck with PCI because it does give you more control of your bat. Although it does take some time to learn patience with it.

Favourite modes are moments, road to the show, and postseason. The custom practice setup is also very helpful for new players. I enjoy these because you can get into a game situation very quickly. It does take a while to play a full 9 inning game but that's also fun when you have the time.

Just wanted to share that there are still some new players enjoying this game.

    Thanks

I agree, I played the nhl franchise for years. I feel veterans of MLB the Show are the same in the aspect they are tired of inconsistent gameplay. I think diamond dynasty is 100 percent more enjoyable than Hockey Ultimate Team. More modes, easier to afford good players etc. I love conquest, showdowns, mini seasons. The 3 inning games work the best for me. I am happy you enjoy the game

Try Diamond Dynasty but beware:You may get stuck forever..when I first got MLBTS20 all I did was postseason with friends. I had no idea how much fun DD was.

From a high level perspective, this game is great and does an excellent job of recreating a baseball game. Most complaints come from those that are perfectionists, or "power gamers" and go through life seeing bad before good.

    Glad you are enjoying it.

I am trying mini seasons and it's fun. More difficult than I imagined to be honest. Tight games.

A bit confusing as to how I get stubs for player cards I sold. There were a few times where I was told I told so I could pursue another player. But there are just too many menus and not easy to find what cards you sold or whatnot.
