This Game is No Longer a Yearly Purchase
-
I have purchased a baseball video game every year since the 90's. I would spend 1000+ hours each cycle playing a full season in franchise mode or trying to get my player to the show in RTTS. In recent years The Show has been the one and only game I purchase every year. But unfortunately that is about to change. The lack of upgrades, removal of features and lack of transparency from SDS has become more and more frustrating recently. I felt this way about Madden years ago and took a year off from purchasing the game. One year turned into two, then three and I have never bought another version of Madden since. I have listed some examples below.
Removed Features
-Year to year saves
-Sounds of the Show
-Online franchise
-Setting Ticket and concession pricesThe Graphics/Stadiums
-The player models still look like a PS4 version.
-Teams like the Brewers, Padres and Marlins changed their logos years ago but a majority of their fans wear clothes with the old logos.
-The A's Stadium has tarp covering the 3rd deck. This was removed IRL in 2017.Roster/Bullpen Construction and Management
-The bullpen management is awful. The AI will have long relievers pitch 80 plus games and 120+ innings while the set up men will pitch in 30-40 games totaling 30-40 innings.
-The drafting and scouting has not been updated in almost a decade.
-There are still no international free agents generated. -
See you next year!

At first I was expecting to read and answer you like Farris. I grudgingly have to say he's pretty funny.
You make some really good points though. I quit Madden and came exclusively to MLBTS after years of pay to win and lousy cheesers that made the game unenjoyable.
"Removed Features

-Sounds of the Show
-Online franchise
-Setting Ticket and concession prices."Every one of these points is valid. The online franchise could be a problem because of the cross platform gaming. Meaning it should be back as soon as it's sorted out. I did just get invited to a league, good guys, the only reason I didn't join is that I'm not doing a whole lot of online stuff due to scheduling. That and I like to win occasionally...
The Graphics/Stadiums

-The A's Stadium has tarp covering the 3rd deck. This was removed IRL in 2017.These are the ones I disagree with the most because PS5 is still hard to come by. For them to deliver to a diverse (multi-system) audience. some things are going to be lacking. My PS5 is a lot quicker and better looking that my PS4 was. We should be seeing improvements excel after Gen 4 is no longer readily serviced. Same reason I would want my kid to be in honors classes because all classes teach to the lowest common denominator. I'm goingt o to have to use the same reason for the last 2. They have a lot of work to do before background stuff is higher on the agenda. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.

I love my long posts, don't I?

If the new college football game comes out next summer…MLBTS will not be on my must buy list…this game has actually gotten worse , in certain areas, in the last few years and I just won’t buy it

Lmao sure I’m calling bs. Based on the amount of times I’ve heard this bs on these forums is comical. Dudes saying the uninstall yet to keep playing then go MIA when called out. I mean no one really cares if you play or not

Noobs and casuals love to complain, it's their entitled Karen instincts to share their thoughts even when no one wants to listen.

GamePass. I haven't purchased this game in two years

Same. As long as it's on GamePass, I'll keep playing.
With everything that's happened in the game this year and with SDS saying that it's "working as intended", I have purchased Madden, which I had given up on years ago. We'll see how that goes.
-
I haven't purchased Madden for almost 10 years and I won't ever again. I will play the 10 hour demo.
-
Last time I bought Madden was 2013 when I got my PS4 on launch day. Even then it was because there were not a lot of choices at launch

These won't care for your post as they aren't baseball fans, they are content junkies.
