It has taken me 3 hours this morning to win the last 2 games in the regular season and to win 3 straight in the first round of playoffs.
The mode is such a drag

9 hours? Well it took me 6-7 hrs with the Yankees on dynamic difficulty and I was done with everything. I didn't drag the games though, if I had a 1-2 run lead I would get intentional outs by bunting or intentional early swings to keep the game moving. Works for me and that's less time spent burning my eyeballs getting into 3-2 counts every at bat.

I'm in October and [censored] A's when long ball crazy at balls at their shoelaces....my reward.....I get to face the twins....yippee....thankfully I trade for Garver but I lost to a walk off earlier in the season to them

It takes a long time to do it. I did it for the Astros and the Yankees to get Torres and Correa. I didn’t mind it because you get xp while doing it so it’s not for nothing.
I don’t think I can do it again unless the later rewards after 50 are worth it.I’ve played showdown and that [censored] is irritating. Outfielders making these extravagant diving catches all the time on the final boss battle. I beat one showdown for the Rays to get Blake snell but I still have to beat the first inning showdown to get those program stars

I find showdown to be like blackjack. Sometimes you win and most of the time you lose, but if you break even just walk away because that loss will be your next one. MTO is the way to go if you don't want be frustrated anymore with CPU making ESPN top 10 catches all the time when you square up the ball and the bosses dotting corners and you thinking it was a ball.

You can change the umpire to perfect for balls and strikes calls. That way they won't make a mistake. I leave it on because its more realistic
Thank you! I never knew this was an option. My offline games just changed forever.

The boss pitchers are like Picasso, just painting corners left and right like it’s nothing. I go to pitch and you’d think I run an Italian restaraunt with all the meatballs I’m putting out

I struggle a lot more with the "Favorites" than with the "Underdogs", or whatever that bottom tier is called. Seems like when I do the Braves I'm in a super tight race where nobody wants to make trades, and every moment is a "come back from this 3 run deficit with the bottom of your lineup in 2 outs", whereas with the Marlins I'm leading the division by 35 games and every moment is "don't lose" from the 6th inning in a tie game

I play everything out and take pitches. I'm too afraid of bunting out innings just for the CPU to come back on me. This will be my first and last run at MTO. Ever.
I'm in game 3 of ALCS with Angels on All-Star difficulty. Up 2-0. Won 108 games. Traded for Yelich, Aroldis and Salvador Perez. Joe Madden constantly sits a star player in "pivotal" games. Doh!

While I agree with the complaints, I also had fun doing it and especially if its with your favorite team can be a pretty cool thing. Plus, the FOTF card is cool
