I wish I could care about something as much as people seem to care about old names that serve no real purpose on the card. We don't even know who's pushing it anyways, SDS might not even have a choice.

I’m guessing MLB is making the call, not SDS. Does seem weird though. NBA2K includes the Bullets logo in various throwback jerseys, so you’d think the Indians could be included.

I don’t remember the source to this; but, my understanding is that one of Cleveland’s minor league clubs was right near a reservation and out of respect, they phased out Chief Wahoo, and then the team name.
Let’s hope they don’t ban or alter my favorite baseball movie!
If it were the MLB, would Atlanta have to change their name. I don’t want to give them any ideas!
