I appreciate the 99 Thome but why exactly are we still censoring uniforms it seems completely unnecessary there is a better way to handle the Cleveland situation

I’d rather them not, but it’s SDS’s prerogative.
I was going to say this is at the bottom of my list of concerns, but it actually doesn’t make the list at all.

I’m guessing MLB is making the call, not SDS. Does seem weird though. NBA2K includes the Bullets logo in various throwback jerseys, so you’d think the Indians could be included.

Agreed. There’s got to be plenty of Topps photos of the road uni without the word that must not be uttered.

My perspective on this stuff is not to clean history up. Valuable lessons can be learned from mistakes.
I applaud Cleveland for changing their name and no longer promoting racist stereotypes, but let’s not pretend they have always been the Guardians.
But again, much bigger fish to fry.

The owner of the team changed the Bullets name after a friend of his was shot and killed (if I remember correctly). He wasn’t faced with the same backlash as Cleveland was

Maybe the can't start putting male or female genitals on the uniforms like some of the community. Seems like SDS doesn't care about those logos.

Pretty soon all these liberals will get offended with the colour red because it’s too violent and mlb teams will have to hire women as their bench managers. It’s 2022 now.

I wish I could care about something as much as people seem to care about old names that serve no real purpose on the card. We don't even know who's pushing it anyways, SDS might not even have a choice.
