The clue on Twitter says 5x All Star and silver slugger winner. I don't know if that means he won 5 silver sluggers or just 1. Any guesses?

@the_dragon1912 , care to weigh in?

Hahaha, oh is it super obvious? He does have 5 AS games and 1 silver slugger. Last year we didn't get a 99 Jim Thome until like October but I'm sure everyone will complain about another lefty first baseman.

Lastly, how do you guys know this stuff? I pride myself on knowing a lot of baseball history, I could probably recite the winner and loser of every WS going back to the early 50s but if you just say "this person had 5 All Star games" I wouldn't know where to begin. Now if it was something more rare like 16 gold gloves or 5 WS rings I could figure it out. But All Star Games? What's your secret?

It's like 99% Jim Thome. But looking at the batting stance if they are trying to throw us off it could be Posada too

Jim Thomas isn’t that exciting to me personally but a Posada would be cool.

So you're saying if I type in "Who played in 5 All Star games" a giant spotlight will magically reveal Jim Thome and nobody else? In the history of this game, nobody has ever played in 5 all star games but Jim Thome? That has to be some sort of crazy coincidence.

So just for fun, I tried using this tool you speak of...the internet. It was a challenge...I had to put down my sticks and stones.

Funny.....many things came up. Best all star games, most all star games by team, most all star games-active leaders, nothing with the name Jim Thome in neon. Maybe you could help me learn to use this futuristic device. I imagine your training sessions would be epic.

Ironically that pitcher you were asking about Mike Mussina...he played in 5 all star games. There are 7 active players who have played in 5 all star games including Michael Brantley, Giancarlo Stanton, Freddie Freeman and Andrew McCutchen.

Well, I'm gonna go back in my Cave and try to interpret the hieroglyphics on the wall depicting stick figures with clubs and a 5x 🌟 next to it. Thanks for the advice NinjaRaven...it's always a pleasure.

Jim Thomas? Is that like Jim Thome and Frank Thomas combined? Imagine the possibility's for the power #s.

In all seriousness I hope it's Posada but i doubt it seeing that we just got Craig Biggio and he has a secondary position of C. I'll have to see the numbers for the Jim Thome card but I'm not sure he even makes my lineup, great for collecting purposes though.

Lol sorry my autocorrect took over and I should’ve proof read it. I was at a red light. 😂😂

I will take a Jim Thomas card though. Frank Thomas will Jim Thome swing. 🤯

It’s 3B Jim Thome. Devers,Riley,Brett? Not excited about this one but I’m sure this will make some people happy so cool for them.

    Andruw Jones is my guess.

Edit: Nope. It’s confirmed Thome. Jones would have been nice, though.

This selection really just doesn't make sense. Why give us another 3B right after Riley? With Brett and Riley, I have no use for this card.
