Horrendous! It's literally like trying to use the app immediately after the roster update notification.
Cache clearing, restarting, etc. and nothing helps.

It's almost like the number of people connections have been reduced and queued or the bandwidth has been reduced.

App is so slow, I can't even use it. It has been that way since about 5pm EST yesterday for me.
I had hoped it would resolve a few hours after yesterday's update, but nope...

So crazy slow on app or website trying to buy in the market. Absolutely ridiculous. Game was slow for me yesterday after the update. Surprised we didn't get a "server maintenance" this morning. It's so bad even on my computer on the website.
