This is true from what I remember when the suspension broke but really if anyone should be suspended it should be Manfred. Never had any sort of baseball experience just a shyster lawyer for the owner. The Commissioner should be the middle man between the the owners and the players Union. He clearly only cares about the owners

This is true the moral campus of pro sports ownership is pretty questionable the NFL has the weak campus out of all of them.

Allegedly. We need to be careful not base guilty judgment of those who have been "proven" innocent.
I'm not defending anything Bauer said or allegedly did, but "innocent until proven guilty" has a more important place in this world than a sports figures personal life.

It’s too bad. He had a great finest card a few years ago. Good cutter sinker mix and his slider had good speed differential. Would have played well in this years game.

No question that Bauer is a dirtbag and the game is better off without that kind of negative attention. I do feel like something shady went on between Dodgers ownership and Manfred. With or without being charged in connection with a crime, Bauer was going to be a massive headache moving forward. Negative press, picketing, protests, home fans booing their own guy. The Dodgers wanted absolutely no part of him, but they needed an official suspension to get his enormous contract off their books. I wonder if it would have been the same result if he played for, say, the Royals or the Pirates or any non-LA/NY team that brings in massive dollars and attention.
All that said, Bauer is a trash heap and everybody knew that long before this most recent incident. The Dodgers have no one to blame but themselves for signing someone who was clearly going to be a problem for them.
