Played my first two Ranked games of the year tonight.
Trying to finish off the Henchmen PXP Missions and since none of them are Event eligible, and because I almost fell asleep playing a 9 inn Play vs CPU game, I decided to try out Ranked.
Figured I could get some bonus PXP and since I don't care about my W/L record; figured what the heck.
Now it may be because these were my first two games and I matched up with players that were 0-1 and 1-1 or because it's on AS difficulty; but it played TOTALLY different than BR or Events.
Both opponents had Diamond players in their lineups (one ran TN players and the other ran FS players) but neither did anything toxic.
There was a little quick pitching but mainly here and there. No R2 spamming. I think they both hit R2 maybe two times per game.
And there wasn't any dashboarding. (this may be because of the innings requirements)
The first game my opponent did quit in the 5th Inning. But they didn't dashboard. They paused and quit.
My second opponent played out the full 9 innings. And they didn't dashboard even though FB JD Martinez and Lightning Devers hit back to back homers twice in a row and they even let Devers' third homerun land.
Also, both of them messaged me after the game with a 'GG' msg.
Totally different than what I experience in Events/BR.

You start out on veteran not all-star in ranked

I thought they implemented something even lower than veteran this year. Could be wrong about that tho.

I've had pretty good luck in RS this year. I'm not a WS player by any stretch, but the games have been good, non-toxic, and it seems most people are actually trying to grind out innings.
I keep my messaging turned on, as I have faith in humanity. Win or lose, I message people "Good Game" after playing (I'm an old guy who actually spells out "Good Game"). Most people respond back positively.
