Random unwanted check swings in ranked??

Post says it all pretty much, only when I play ranked on ps5 a bunch of my swings are being called check swings by the game yet I am pressing firmly down on the x button. For some reason it only really affects me on ranked on HOF difficulty. I thought maybe it was my controller yet I tried it on my other controller and it’s still happening. Doesn’t happen every pitch but just enough times a game to where it’s noticeable and impacting the outcome. Any one have an idea? Am I pressing too firmly or something??

Just to clarify, this ONLY happens on ranked as well. Played 25 minutes in custom practice on HOF and it didn’t happen once to me.

This happens to me all the time in franchise. I know I'm taking a swing and the bat just stops.
It doesn't happen an insane amount of times, but it happens often enough that I know there's something weird going on. At first I thought my controller was going bad but I figured out that wasn't it.
Just more mysterious SDS shite

It's a bug. Like the catcher who needs an exorcism. Or the teleporting infielder. A bug. Probably server related too.

This happened to me all the time on ps5. Since I’ve switched to x1x I haven’t really had it happen

I had this issue in offline game and it turned out to be the controller. I had another controller put away due to stick drift and tried it and the problem resolved itself.
I ended up just buying a new controller since both of mine were the 1st generation dualsense and those are known to have more issues.
