Why are pitchers still batting in Show?

I don’t understand this. Pitchers aren’t taking AB’s in MLB, the universal DH was introduced for a good reason, why is the game not following the same game being played in MLB?

Because SDS didn’t implement it into the game and don’t want to spend quality time to update as they should. But I think know how they tend to cut corners especially when it comes diving and pitches out of the strike zone.

Because they start making the game in june or july(maybe earlier than that)universal dh was just talk and rumors then.

They built the game without it, they would have to scrap it and start from beginning or there would be horrible inbalances.
even if they were willing to just throw away months of work, there is no boss in the world that would justify the expense of it.
pretty sure it will be in next years game. -

Honestly most of us dont want it for DD. It would make our bull pens and bench almost worthless. We have too many cards we can use for that.

pretty sure it will be in next years game.I've played enough of the Show that I'm used to having to bat with the pitcher. But I just don't buy that it's some monumental task to implement a DH into the DD mode of the game.

The programming is in the game already. They made universal Dh for rtts. So you’re not able to improve your pitchers hitting without making them a 2 way player.

I still hit shockingly well with pitchers. This year and last.

They're lazy. And it's odd because if they added DH to DD then everyone would need an extra starting hitter but also the same amount of pitchers so an extra card. Which you'd think would be good for business...

It’s an update a 17 year old on Reddit could do. Maybe even a random guy on Fivr. It’s not some rebuild the game from the ground up, or even better delete all DD progression lol. And even if that was somehow the case, the Dev who coded that should be fired not the content team who comes up with original ideas instead of regurgitating moments on a weekly basis and creating 150,000 territories to “conquer” in conquest for the 11 guys who still find that fun.
It’s a C grade patch for D grade Devs. Period. They should be able to code this for a single event like they do with quick counts or balks. Why don’t those delete everyone’s progress? Any option from the standard menus isn’t ground breaking stuff, if it made bad players better it would be in tomorrow.
