Buttons not working during gameplay

Is anyone else having this issue? My controller works fine throughout the game except for when I go into play a game. It works fine on other games too so it’s not the controller.

I had an issue with a controller that only reared it's head while playing. I would hit X to swing and it would sometimes only register as a check swing. Which is kind of ironic since I can rarely ever actually have a successful check swing.

Never had any issues with it in other games.

I've had that "check swing" stuff happen quite a bit when I clearly wanted to swing. I don't know what's going on with that.
