That's how it works, no? Underperform you drop in rating, figure your stuff out and you'll rise in rating. Didn't seem premature to me at all.
What happened to the 3 year eval?
I don't know man, Mookie Betts got dropped pretty hard too. But it's whatever to me honestly, I think it's fun if they fluctuate a little.

I think they’ve weighted it a lot more to the current season.

I hope he goes back up I wasn't paying attention and bought him the night before...

Thats pretty much over with, starting with last year. Vlad Jr. started at a 75 and was a 86 within a month. Also ended the year with a 94 overall. But with the season he had, he deserved every bump he got to get to a 94. I’m just simply saying that that scale isn’t as true as it was years ago and I’m cool with it. This also goes to show anyone (including me) if you have someone like Rodon you invested heavy in this year, you shouldn’t panic sell because their price didn’t jump up as much as it would’ve in years past from an update early in the year. With these new quick sell values, it’s just gonna take sometime to cash in big on certain cards until they get to a better rating with a better value. With the way they bumped last year, Rodon has a shot to be a 90 sometime early to mid summer if he keeps doing what he’s doin.

I think deGrom and Scherzer should go gold. That Acuña guy too

I don't know that 93 overall starter on the mets seemingly doesn't pitch too often...anyone remember the days where if you were on the 60 day IL you would be placed into free agency and you wouldn't have to face them.
This is a good point. The best ability is availability.

It started a few years ago with Pete Alonso

Drop deGrom to gold Lol.
I think Cole is a mix of his first few starts this year and his post sticky stuff starts last year. He was not doing so great for a while. To be a 90+ you have to be elite almost every time you are out there.

It's still a thing but they fudge a lot on hot new rookies. If there is a ton of hype for a player and they know people are really wanting that card (Vlad, Tatis JR, Wander Franco, and even someone like Seiya Suzuki coming in at a 76) then those players get boosts right out of the gate.
It'll be interesting to see where Juan Yepez for the Cardinals ends up. So far in his first 5 games he is batting .474 with a .789 slug and 1.289 OPS.
Granted he won't keep that up but there is little hype for him so I am guessing he will come in low rated like most unhyped rookies. Maybe he will get a Topps Now card for his first HR.

With the qwiksell values changing this year, we might be in store for more aggressive roster updates everytime. This would create more market movement i think, while also maybe holding some a lil longer. This next roster update will give us an idea how aggressive the upgrades and downgrades will be.
