Let me preface this that I’m not here to “complain” after losing my last ranked game. Don’t give two [censored] about an online record in a game that plays like [censored]
I just want to show how awful hitting is with sceenshots for proof. You can also check the game log since I didn’t capture the swing outcomes in the following SS
HOF game, at Laughing Mountain.
This is P4 cover Griffey pinch hitting against the new Pablo Lopez. This barely made the warning track:
This was Vlad Jr against P3 Diamond Andrew Miller, and a HR to RF:
Fun game. Don’t even care anymore. Just want to point out what a joke this game is.

Its the launch angle.for 100 mph exit velo for it to have been "barrelled" according to statcast it has to be between 24-33 degrees. You hit it too high.

I can live with that, still got bent over imo.
But the Vlad Jr homerun? C’mon

Ok sure, so let's act like this game is governed by statcast and physics when changups 7 inches below the zone are routinely getting crushed.
Op had his pci right on a changup hung in the middle of the zone, he was slightly early (which Is where you want to be according to sds) and he gets a fly out. Sure that can happen irl, but in a video game where input should be the primary factor towards the end result OPs swing should be a homerun before his opponents.
Not trying to be rude. Just saying. This game rewards bad swings on pitches out of the zone just as much if not more than good swings. I joked a few weeks ago that the meta will soon become throwing pitches closer to the middle of the plate and hoping your opponent moves his pci too much.. thats where we are.

Yup
Still baffled that Vlad swing resulted in a HR

I didnt say anything about anything.hate on the game all you want, but 39 degrees is alot of extra height taking away the force of momentum. want it over the wall- dont hit it so high or hit it harder

My ultimate point being this game is a joke if it decides my swing was too high of a launch angle (BS)
And then deciding that his swing with Vlad is a HR. No way to argue or defend that this is just an awfully programmed game
-
Lmao launch angles how are we supposed to do that. The show is bad game funny as hell

Ya know, i think you are arguing the wrong thing- what your argument should be is why the hell was that a 39 degree angle and not a better angle for where it was and the pitch type.
-
You were just underneath the first pitch the outcome made since. Second is a pedigree type hit, Vlad Sr. Was notorious for digging those pitches and cranking them so imo it's legit.

Okayaaayaayaayaay, Okayaaayaayaayaay

You’re absolutely right. But why is a ball that is centered in the pci not between 17-33 degree launch angle?

See a couple posts above this one.

Yeah, the vlad HR is odd, I can never get PCI that low to get under a pitch there, was it a line drive?
As other stated 39°launch angle, I know I get pissed with warning track fly balls with high powered guys on PP like that.

It was a high fly that barely got out to RF

That is definitely off. There is no way a PCI can get that low. Has to be timing and RNG.

Just salt in the wound after my swing with Griffey being a deep flyout

My problem is online play SHOULD be skill based and not based off real life baseball. For those crying perfect perfects are still outs in baseball then tell me why I see infielders sliding like Michael Jackson across a ****ing dance floor.
