Hitting outcomes have been the source of contentious debate lately and I have to say it’s wild how many very lates on pitches out of the zone drop for hits the other way. Compare that to the amount of times a good swing with good placement ends in a routine fly out or line out and you have a very frustrated player base. For all intents and purposes the power swing is useless on all star diff or above and the contact swing is incredibly unrewarding for attempting to either just put the ball in play or drop a ball in front of an outfielder. There’s no real way to tell the game you’re not trying to hit the ball through the center fielder on a fastball up, and putting a charge into one with a guy that isn’t a power hitter results in too many catchable flies instead of liners in the gap

tHaTs BaSeBaLl.....hitting sucks, its like beating a dead horse, its dead rotten and smelly yet they never want to clean it up or remove the stink of the hitting issues
