Why the hell is a player hitting 256 homeruns in a season!! what kinda super casual noob settings is this?...rookie with less than default pitch speeds with jacked up Sliders?. That's not baseball dude, you need to go play Super Mega Baseball or RBI baseball if you want arcade noobness, I thought DD players were silly but you take that cake dude.
I'm not a 'dude', it's how I enjoy playing the video game that I purchased. I'm sorry that my play style and enjoyment of TheShow21 don't align with your values or how you enjoy games. I hope, however, you've decided to play the game is fun and enjoyable for you.
Sorry dudette, I just get super triggered when people aren't playing simulation baseball.

Playing 2021 in franchise mode one of my players Cory Seager in LA, has hit 255 hr's during the season. At 256 the counter rolled to 0 and has started over. When looking at the player's card, his lifetime HR numbers are still continuing to increase.
In the "Single Season Records" it's capped at 255, however, every other stat continues to increase normally.
Other stats have continued to increase normally - AB and H (hits).
It would appear that this variable likely has been set to a 'byte' and not a 'short' when it was type cast. In C# a byte is 0-255 and short is -32,768 to 32,767.
That really a bad bug then. How did all these bugs show up in 22 when 21 was pretty solid when it came to stats? And they made 21 w Covid restrictions.
-
She said "Seager in LA", so she's talking about 21.
-
I'm pretty sure they never expected anyone to hit 256 HRs with a single player in a season. I guess they will need to go in there and code it to 999

I played 105 games of a season on the show 20 until I got my PS5 yesterday. I was 100-5 playing on HOF default sliders.

This could be true. I think more likely this was an oversight in development in how the variable for home runs are type cast. Then when the game was QA’d this was either missed or ignored.
It is kind of cool to me to find a bug that few if any have likely seen. 🥰️️🧢

Yeah, I'd be surprised if anyone else has found this.
Is this the first time. I have to wonder if it's always been that way.
I played a RTTS on All Star and got up in the 90s for HRs. Certainly nothing close to 256

That's a you problem. Although the guy/dude/whatever has got some cohones/other parts for posting about a bug after 200+ homers in a season...lol
As a franchise guy first and foremost, let me encourage SDS to ignore this issue entirely to focus on more pressing things. Or, for laughs, fix THIS and continue to leave the real issues plaguing franchise to fester unattended, like it's been for years.

It's 'dudette' and I'm confused as to why you're upset at my posting what appears to be an issue with the game? That's just so odd.
As an engineer, I can tell you this would have a JIRA ticket created and then placed into a backlog and likely never fixed. I honestly, as I said above, do not understand your anger over this. Lastly, why are you mad at how I've chosen to play the game? It's a video game, they're for fun, and how I derive my fun has zero impact on you. I hope whatever is causing you so much angst and stress gets better soon.

This HR counter "bug" has been here since at least 16. In another response, you mentioned the variable limit of 0-255 in the DB2 back end where they populate that stat. You're probably on to something and should submit that in a bug report.
I don't play franchise and haven't seen this myself firsthand. People that get to 256+ in a single season though should consider increasing their difficulty. This isn't Super Mario sluggers.
Also you said this above... "I'm not fighting, you've been hostile towards a stranger and it's weird. "
I find this weird too, which is why I went to your post history after you came at me in another thread.

I have mine set to default in 22. But in 21, I am in my 23rd season and my player for the Red Sox has a lifetime of over 1100 home runs. And almost set the lifetime rbi record and set the new record for single season hit streak in his 1st year as a rookie. I haven’t figured out the sliders yet so I never bothered with them -
