Seeing as this is the last year Albert Pujols is in the game...

can we please back him off the plate and give him the sweet one hand follow through he's had his entire career?
You can do it SDS, you can do it.

Best we can do is another John Smoltz card.

One would argue that you could swap that with "best we can do is another sweaty grind for a barely diamond 85 ovr card"

Why is this the last year? And I like his swing the way it is.

He is retiring at the end of the year (assuming he doesn't go full Tom Brady) so he won't be in next years game. They will have to secure his rights individually now and I don't know if SDS has ever obtained rights immediately after a player retires.

Quickest I have seen is 1 year out. that was Curtis Granderson he retired right before the 2020 season and was in that game then he was out of the game last year and this year he is back in. It is always easier to have the guys who have recently retired back. 4 year for Ortiz I think 5 or 6 for Mo. I don't car if Pujols is in the game I just want teddy ball game and Ty Cobb back in.

I don't think they brought Granderson back, he just retired late so he stated in the game. Ryan Zimmerman of the Nationals retired, but he's in the show this year for example.

Granderson is in the game this year. Right before the game came out in 2020.

Zimmerman isnt officially retired. He announced it, but never filed the paperwork so technically he could come back.
