its been ok to be honest - i never get kicked out of a game - no freezes yet this year - my timing is decent though im on a monitor like 2 feet away from the screen using strike zone 2 or 3 camera
How is the lag though?
its not bad mate i don't feel it tbh

I have very similar numbers to you.
They are well above average.
Plus you're wired, which is huge.I've done everything to improve my connection since launch:
Static ip address, port forwarding, and a few other tricks.
But I'm only 1-4 due to server errors and dropped connections.Before launch and still playing '21, I hadn't had a disconnect in 6 months.
Also, because the cable company has a monopoly and we don't have access to digital, it's the best I can do/afford.45/5 is plenty. I don't know what either of our problems can be.

What can I do to improve? I’m wired with expensive Xfinity in a wealthy neighborhood.

Yet way more than capable of handling online play. Back in my broke AF bachelor days I had 5 down and 1 up and regularly had no issues nor complaints playing this or other MMO's
Your opponents probably hated you. This game is all about timing. It's not like playing pacman online. A split second throw a things off
Like I said, never had any complaints about it being glitchy or laggy from my opponents. You def don't need stupid fast internet to play. For online gaming, .5 up and 2 down will even work without any trouble. Your speed doesn't affect your opponent's...just how long they're waiting for you...

I played two games this morning between 9am-11am UKT tethered off my 4G iPhone and both games were perfect.
The point of my story is when things get busier US side the issues start.
Your connection helps but the servers need to be better.
If anyone cares. An hour playing the show only uses about 80mb in data online. Nothing at all really.
I am curious to know how your opponents felt about the quality of those match connections? I imagine they were horrid, regardless of their network setup. SDS should implement a ping notification before going into an online match. Without dedicated servers, game sessions can have major lag and latency issues for at least one of the p2p participants, especially in matches over a large geographic area.
I agree. Years ago they did for online rated before DD was a thing. Bring it back SDS!

You may not have the 1GB service. Do you have it?
If you are running anything over 200mb service, swap out the Ethernet cable from your modem to the router. You might be using an old Cat5 and unknowingly chocking your bandwidth.

let's just blame the terrible coding and programming mate i don't think its our internet speeds bc i can play COD just fine with no latency issues
