why have i been caught multiple times with 3 step leads and over 90 speed ? if my opponent is napping that should be a free base
Assuming you mean “picked off” as in the pitcher threw over and got you…..at best you get 1 extra step without a throw over, but 2+ and they’re definitely gonna get you.

Man,I thought this was a Jane's Addiction reference.
Beat me to it. Now that song is going to be stuck in my head.

Without knowing the catcher and the pitch it's hard to know whether it's BS or not. Catchers arms are crazy this year tho but even with 3 steps, slide step fastball and a strong arm catcher with a perfect throw would probably get it done.

It’s impossible to steal this year against the CPU, so I’d imagine online is worse; I never try it online because I don’t want to get myself out of an inning.
Last night in Conquest, I tried with FF Robert, with an extra step, on an 87 mph change and a 67 arm catcher. I’m 1/3 with 2-3 pickoffs in 50-60 Conquest games

Not anymore...with elite runner plus lead off and slow pitcher....still get gunned even with average arm catcher.....makes no sense....use to be don't ever steal off molina...now every bronze and common catcher has his arm.

I very rarely steal, but I have tried in BR and events a few times this year and I have been thrown out almost every time. Each runner had at least 85-90+ speed and stealing attributes. I don't take an extra step before every pitch, but sometimes I'll sneak in an extra step if I can time the pitchers motion well enough, and none of that seems to matter. I'm gunned down anyway.
There are only two instances where I can recall being successful on steal attempts. One was where my BR opponent decided to start Tony Perez behind the plate for some reason. Once I figured out balls were bouncing off of his face on every other pitch, it was open season. The second was against some poor Switch player that didn't seem to know what he was doing.

IMO the CPU has a quicker tag reflex than my guys. I've had a few times where my runner beats the throw, hands hovering over the bag and called out cause the computer has a lightening quick tag. Then watch my second baseman take 5 seconds to slap down a tag where I clearly beat him there.

no i got a 3 step lead and stole the base well my opponent is napping multiple times thrown out which should nevsr happen with 90 speed and a 2-3 step lead.. ive given up stealing until its fixed at this point

I don't believe it is stealing that is broken, I think throwing sliders are tuned way to high. I get thrown out trying for a double from players who have all defensive attributes below 60 on balls hit to the wall, with 90 plus speed and base running aggressiveness.
