Actually, the government banks on people spending that money. They want the money back into the economy. Not sitting in people’s bank accounts. The smart thing to do is save it, but th e Government is hoping you spend it. -

Every year SDS has to pay off the “legends” or their family to be used in every years game. Yeah there are hundred of legends but the game is kind of broken and ppl are hurting without jobs so stubb money they usually get isn’t coming in. This game is a company. If people don’t buy and money isn’t coming in there not gonna lose money by paying off royalties if nobody is spending money right now. Give it time and they will come.
This is incorrect. When they pay royalty to a player's likeness, it's a one time thing for a long period of time. This has been mentioned in a couple dev streams. They already have the rights to most of these players and some they still have but haven't made a card for in a year or 2. Example here is Niekro (still offline), Dave Stieb, Gaylord Perry, etc.
And lots of people are still buying, still have money and are, if anything, putting more time than ever into this game and games in general, being that we are all home.
This forum is based on not that many people, and mostly people who are upset they aren't enjoying the game. It's is not even 1% of people who play this game. Not even .5%...
Most enjoy it (me included).. other forums have very little complaints, reviews are great and YouTube and twitch streamers have a completely different view than the tiny minority on here.. the game is doing great as a wholeWhat? Every streamer I watch says the hitting sucks now, complains about check swings, gets made at so many line outs now and hate the fielding.... only ones not complaining are likely offline RTTS players or franchise players. I’d say if DD players 60 percent are just playing for fun and some of them still likely are mad. Of the ones that play only online And are competitive ( about it, doesn’t mean the are good) 75 percent are complaining

I have never and probably will never spend money on Stubbs I do. Buy however the $99.99 game Pre order. I have always been a team no money spent and it’s so satisfying to beat people in DD with 99 mantle who have poured a couple hundred in the game day one to have goon squads
I wouldn’t pay 100 bucks plus tax for a yearly release of a game even if I was a millionaire ... I could see paying that for a game that’s released every 5 years or so , maybe... Hell the Last of Us 2 comes out in May and the digital deluxe is only 69.99 ... That is worth dropping some $ ... But a yearly release ? Nah man, never ....

And the debt, has been created by ridiculous tax cuts where corporations pay nothing in federal income tax... I can go on but this topic will linger ...

One other thing is they might be pretty busy getting 21 ready for Xbox / Switch / PS5.
They probably added staff, but I'm guessing it is a hectic time for the developers.

I haven’t read every post here but you all do realize that most of the FOTF cards are better then 95% of the LS diamonds. I’ve grinded 4 FOTF now mb 10-12 hr total grind and besides Trout Bellinger Yelich, the FOTF cards > LS diamonds IMO. Plus those affinity points will prove valuable come stage 2 and stage 4 in the fall. I don’t spend any money besides 99 pre order for cards that will be obsolete in a month or two. But if you collect cards I understand

Tax the f out of 1200 dollars? Uhh what would that be like a 100?
It’s free money from the federal government. They will tax the f out of it. I don’t take a handout I work and make good money I don’t need it so they can have it back when the time comes
Depending on how "good" of money you make you might not get $1200 anyway. If you made over $75k/150k for a couple, you will still get a check but not the full 1200. If you made over 99k/198k for a couple, you probably won't get anything.
