MLB The Show 22 comes out in just over a week. If you plan on purchasing the game digitally on Switch or Xbox, you may want to check out the sale going on at Target. Unfortunately Playstation cards seem to be excluded from this sale. If you buy one video game gift card, you get the second for 15% off. You save about $7.50 for every $100. It's not a huge difference, but it's the best deal you can get on release day. The codes are sent via email, and I got my eShop credit within 15 minutes or so.
Hopefully the Switch version is at least good enough to grind some moments and conquest. My expectations are pretty low.

I'm still debating buying the switch, but def won't before launch. Plus I would feel guilty about spending money on that just to play MLBTS on the go. Plan is to sell my expensive Ohtani card and then buy it guilt free hopefully.

My son said that the tech test played horribly on the regular Switch. In talking with him about it, he thought the OLED may play better because of the better processor and graphics. SDS said they were working on the optimization. My Target had 4 OLEDs in stock, so I picked one up. I picked up RBI 20 so I could get used to it (I’ve never used one before), and I have to say, I don’t hate the Switch. I know this is an expensive experiment, but I can return it if I want to. I’d still be out the money for the games though (maybe not MLBTS if I got a physical copy and could return that too).

Sweet, thanks for the heads up. I may pick up a card and hold onto the credit for a sale so I can double dip on the discount. I haven't bought the new Horizon yet, so I'll probably hold out for the first sale on that.
