I play year round, so for me, the $100 is definitely worth it.
Also ensures I at least get to see a diamond animation live……..

You get a nice head start with a diamond, a few golds, and a few packs. Golds earned during early access will sell high for a week or so, so yeah…if you aren’t sinking money into stubs/packs it is a solid move.

If you play Diamond Dynasty, yes.

Definitely worth it if you play DD and are planning to invest a lot of time. Not like there is a rush, I didn't start till May last year but I still completed everything and collected every card without spending money...it's doable, just would have been more fun from the beginning.

I don’t buy that many games each year so the last few I’ve been preordering the deluxe of the Show. That’s how I justify to myself.

I never paid $100 for a game before but I ordered the digital deluxe. Last year I waited until the first price drop in July before I bought the game. I had to play catch up the rest of the season. I missed playing three months that I could’ve been playing. So I decided to do it this year. I’m looking forward to ‘22.

I pre-ordered the physical MVP Edition. I personally prefer a hard copy, just for peace of mind and convenience. Should I delete something, I can just pop the disc in and download it without hunting it down on the store. And I think downloads are faster with a hard copy.
Plus, the steel book cover was just too cool to pass up.

You know what's ironic? I made sure to get a disc edition PS5, but I'd say 95% of the games I have are the digital copy!
True, disc's download faster unless you're wired.
MLB '21 was my first digital Show, but that’s is because the physical with the hat were sold out. '22 will be my second.
I guess subconsciously, I've done this because my physical collection is clogging my bookcase that I keep them, with PS 2 games as well. -
Ok there is some articles out there saying that mlb 22 will be the free game for ps plus. Anyone think that it's an actual possibility?

For DD then I would say yes. It gives you a headstart.
If RTTS or Franchise is your main mode then no. -

Did you just see an announcement saying no MLB The Show or did you see the actual list of free April games? So far I am just seeing speculation/predictions for April from a bunch of sites.
