There was a good article in Chicago Tribune about this, the amount of time invested in this i doubt they can do both crews

I mean can they just keep the commentary from the old crew as an option. 99% of it will be the same. Maybe new players / rookies won't get their names called.

I'll miss Matt, but I'm a believer in overhauling the commentary booth every 4 or 5 years in sports game so this is overdue

I get that SDS probably wants guys from national networks and all...but you literally have one of, if not the best baseball announcer duos right in your backyard. I would love to hear Don Orsillo and Mark Grant in The Show for at least one year.

Oh man, great call. It took me a while to really enjoy Grant (Orsillo has always been fantastic). But I love them together. If the Padres played as well as those two call their games, SD might finally win a championship in something other than skateboarding and snowboarding.

Kruk and kuip would b better and growing up steve stone was rock solid and sprinkle in some jon miller
