Didn’t get an invite to closed beta.

This is classic SDS. No updates after saying invites are rolling out. More of the same for 20!
-
We will see.
-
Nothing yet. Hoping they update soon
-
They just tweeted and said they were aware of the isssues of the invites not being sent out, guess everyone still has some hope

-
Though there is no guarantee from filling out the form. There is still a good chance almost everyone in here gets an invite. I turned off my ps4 and will periodically check all day. I am sure (hopeful) they track the individuals like in this forum who will provide quality feedback. Good luck to everyone throughout today!

The less people involved the better...
Kinda defeats the purpose doesnt? Its a lot of events, so you need a decent number for matchmaking. And they want feedback, thats the whole point right? I would think they would want a diverse group of a decent size
Yes they want feedback, I've said it before I want a small group of 50 people giving actual feedback with the Devs watching games, not 15,000 people trying to win games and filling out a survey, worrying more about the players on their teams then actually giving quality feedback.

If that's the case, then they shouldn't have said anything about the beta and send out private invites if the pool was going to be that small. They are creating more disgruntled fans by keeping everyone hanging.

Sure, I'm not saying that's what's happening, I'm just saying that's what I would like.

I understand. Either way people are going to be upset they didn't get in. At this point, they should just open it to everyone and stress test the servers. Lol

I’m with skepple. They should comb thru and pick players who play the game significantly and listen to what they have to say. Guys like skepple and Mitch and other who are active on the forums are the ideal people to give this feedback because they’re both consistently in the elite tier of players and both have voiced issues that many people agree with.

I agree with this. I don’t care if they only let 50 people test the beta, as long as they don’t tell me I have a chance to be one of them. If they just told 50 people directly that they needed them to participate, that’s fine by me. If you’re going to let people sign up for it though, you might as well let everybody contribute.

I saw somewhere I believe that it is going live around 10 PST/ 1 EST

I agree, but there are better players than me that should test, I also believe a few active lower level players should be involved as well.

I am glad I did not sign up. Based on the schedule it looks like they are mainly dealing with online play and I play offline.
They should listen to everyone and not just the top players. They should listen to the top players and try everything they can to make the game better at those levels but most players are mid-tier and low-tier and if you only listen to the top players then I have a feeling the game changes would cater to the best and make it harder for everyone else.
It is a tricky balancing act they need to accomplish to keep their whole audience engaged for as long as possible.

They did say Play vs CPU is available in the beta. Events are just the easiest way for them to see how specific things are working in an online setting, such as only contact hitters, etc.
And since offline play is much easier to figure out and make play right, it’s understandable that they would need to focus more on how online games are behaving, since online always has more problems.
-
Glad to see play vs cpu is covered in the beta. There one big issue shared between both modes is good/squared up hits being line outs far too often.
Good luck to everyone who applied for Beta. Give good honest feedback that will benefit us all in the end.

What you want and the purpose of a business' beta are 2 different things. Thank you for clarifying that is just what you want though.

You think they want only elite tier players in the Beta? There is no way that is what they want. And rightfully so. The game is never going to be geared to one tiny demographic

Invites are still going out. Hang in there.
