Well this year the gave out 2 42 Series packs, 5 LS Gold Choice Packs, 25K in stubs, a Diamond Equipment pack, 20 The Show packs, plus you got Early Access which allowed you to play the game 3 days prior to the original release date.

Well this year the gave out 2 42 Series packs, 5 LS Gold Choice Packs, 25K in stubs, a Diamond Equipment pack, 20 The Show packs, plus you got Early Access which allowed you to play the game 3 days prior to the original release date.
And the code that if you only had one of the older gen consoles to switch to a next gen consoles without having to buy the game again.

They used to give you a bonus card; but it was a card for the current game (so you would get something for 21).
Plus the anxiety that comes with trying to figure out if you're actually going to be able to play or have to deal with server issues.

Looking back the pre order never seems worth it. Day one those items and 3 day head start are kind of key however.
Depends on if you are a "race to be the first" kind if player or more of a "I'll get there when I get there"

Hard to argue with the picks here for cover boys. You have the most dynamic player in the game currently in Ohtani and a household icon in Jeter. Really can't understand who would be unhappy with these two choices as it is a total win-win scenario.

I'll admit some bias as I'm a big Yankees fan, but it is hard to argue with these cover choices from a financial standpoint. For people who are more about the current roster, you get the most electric player in the league right now in Ohtani who is doing things that haven't been done in a century. For people who like these games primarily for the classic content, you have a NEW legend in Derek Jeter who is arguably the most popular/well-known player in the league over the last 25 years.
I'm not sure what other legend they could have picked for the Collector's Edition that would have the same mass appeal as him. People keep bringing up his attributes which I'm sure will be in line with a Jackie Robinson or Honus like someone else suggested. The thing is, SDS doesn't care how many God squads Derek Jeter makes. The main thing they care about is how many people will buy their game and Jeter is going to sell copies.
