If you choose to not bring in a rp when your defensive inning starts it should just put him in automatically without him being warmed up.
Pretty sure it will only do that if you are up or down 6 runs or more. Otherwise it will just stay on the bullpen screen and let your timer run down. Unless they have added something specific to Shohei because he has the RP secondary.
I tried it and it works, he comes in as a relief pitcher albeit cold but his stats pitching don’t rack up PXP only his hitting stats will give you that progress.

Oh you definitely can because I've accidentally left my guy I pinch hit for the pitcher with in the game to pitch numerous times in BR this year. I'm not sure if it works the same in a 9 inning RS game though.
Yeah what the heck is with that? I’ve accidentally hit declined the double switch leaving my position player in to face the three batter minimum in a tight game a couple times now. I also remember trying to leave Shohei in and it wouldn’t allow for it.
Maybe that is the trick? Select double switch and back out?

72 85I started using this finest one last night. I really like it much better than the AS card. True he cant be used as a pitcher but something about his throwing motion or pitch repertoire was making him easier to hit as the game progressed. Yes, I know hitters got better, but his straight up throwing style limited his deceptiveness and break on pitches. Im ok replacing AS Ohtani in the starting rotation (with Sale), just having trouble fitting him in an already crowded OF.

Thanks I tried it as well. Seems like a good option. Just wonder if his stamina will go down and regenerate the same as a normal reliever.

I never liked pitching with him. I don’t know where I would use it, but I have no complaints about a free Finest card.
