I have no problem with BR awards being hard to get, but event awards that will never restart should be lower in price, especially if casuals are so important so they can get Griffey as well.
The value in those cards isn’t the player themselves. The value of those cards are they are the step stones to Griffey (just like Jhonathan Diaz earlier).
EVERYBODY DRINK!!!!
or did the game end?The game ended as most that participated died from alcohol poisoning. I survived but I am now in need of a liver transplant as a result of this drinking game.

So you come in with an opinion, noone agrees with you yet you continue to think you as the only person with your opinion is right. Then to top it off just start throwing insults like a child. I've gone over the top and been an asshole a few times on the forum but this is just embarrassing.

I got 3.4MM stubs and I don't have any players I really want to buy any longer. Meh.

Has anyone seen my wallet? Sorry to interrupt......
......whoa what happened in here? -
As long as you prepared prior to the Griffey set dropping you were fine. This is only my second year playing but the pattern of large collections is the same. Check out some youtubes, there were a bunch of tutorials and guys speculating what you needed in each collection. It is usually a percentage of the cards released. I think I made stubs because I overprepared and had cards left over after locking in the set. If you waited to pick up those golds with 25k orders on them that is on you. Griffey is not a participation award, he should be hard to obtain. If anything Im mad becasue the 10th inning gave out a bunch of henchmen packs so you can now make Griffey at a fraction of the cost from a couple weeks ago. As for pay to play? Please, grinding for stubs and flipping cards has never been easier. I was doing RIB Conquest and selling Heywards for 40k every day for 35 minutes of gameplay. If you think this is pay to play go try Madden Ultimate Team and get back to me. There you can spend hundreds of dollars and not even get the card you want.
-
I’m just gonna guess you have hundreds of dupes sitting in your binder, that if you took a day to list all of them, not quick sell, you’d have 500k+ in stubs and your hissy fit would be over.
Or like others have said, flip topps now cards. Do a RIB.
I put in a 1M buy order for trout, had about 100k left, played some more, put in a 500k Order Wagner, because I wanted to, played some more, and still have 950k stubs with 30% of TA5 to finish for 3 divisions. If you’re not printing your own stubs at this point, you’re playing wrong.
-
Since TA5 dropped, I’ve done nothing but rip TA5 packs, RIB, and program rewards and it’s been averaging about 90K a day. Just from opening packs.
If you don’t have enough stubs, that’s a “you” problem.

Put in the time like the rest of us, and you'll have him too. Frankly, I think it should have been a higher collect percentage for the big collection reward (Griffey).
Why do people like you get so upset that other players are aloud to have cards. I know there are a lot of young kids who play, but some people are obviously above 17 years old.

Lots of confusingly hurt feelings in here. Griffey is the last, biggest, best collection reward at the end of the game cycle. It's for "everybody," sort of -- but really, it's for people who have put in the time to get the cards that are needed to get Griffey.
SDS has spoiled its base this year with a plethora of free/easy to earn 99's, so much so that a collection like this seems unfair.
It's not.
In fact, I thought more cards would be needed in some series and was surprised to see how few were required...

No handouts. Same standards applied to us at the beginning, are those that should be applied at the end. If that means someone doesn't get Griffey, then maybe they should have started sooner.

I started at launch, play almost everyday (unless my pain from my injury is too bad) alway bought all the mini bosses and classics when they came out. Did every inning, and played events and some BR. I am not too far from Griffey, and I am not asking for a handout. Do I not deserve the card?
I agree with no handouts; my question was, why do people get jealous when others get cards? I’m not saying you do. But people genuinely are bothered by the fact that people can earn cards too.Edit: I see the op says he started late. However, you wanted the Griffey to be harder to obtain. I’ve gotten the collections the last couple games, (since Honus)
