What Moments have been hard this year? Not trying to be a [censored] but Moments seem way toned down already vs last year at least from my pov. Other than the Forbes Field TB daily Moment with that terrible Clemente card months back I can’t think of another that took more than 5-10 minutes.
Just imagine if they had done Extreme Moments this year! The moments this year are often monotonous, but they are so easy and on Rookie/Veteran like 95% of the time. If people are struggling on them than they are not focused on the task at hand.

Every single card should be attainable without doing a single Moment.
You can stand firm but it won't change.

I’ll offer a compromise: give innings played credit for all of the time spent on these mind-numbing tasks.
Even on Rookie, Perfects are flyouts, common outfielders make diving catches, rookie hitters take you yard in the 7th inning of a 7-inning pitching Moment; and all other sorts of nonsense that make Moments the most un-enjoyable mode SDS every created needs to be balanced out.
-
I agree with the OP. Moments were SDS answer to the player mission complaints from 2018, but they have become legion and repetitive. DD should revolve around you playing actual games with cards in your inventory, which moments prevent. The moments themselves are also awful executions of randomness and in many cases we might as well be rolling a die instead of attempting user input.
I’d like to personally see moments restricted to daily moments and Topps Now next year with everything else having missions (online or offline) as a complete alternative.

I think everything could be fixed with a new hitting engine that wasn't based entirely on RNG. RNG is pathetic and it makes this game a joke. I'm not buying another version of this game until that's changed.

I would be highly surprised if there is much, if any, RNG baked into the hitting engine. It may feel like RNG to players but there are, more than likely, a lot of math and computations that go into each result of a bat swing.
Now, that is not to say that the hitting engine is programmed well or that those computations yield realistic results, just that I doubt there is true RNG included.

Title: "I stand firm on this"
5 hours later: "I'll offer a compromise"Like I said in the beginning: "What a joke!"

Dang, Dap. I thought I was on a video game forum. I didn’t realize that figures of speech weren’t allowed, and that I’d be held to the literal meaning of every word uttered. Congressional testimonies aren’t held to your standards. Haha
Just say you love Moments, bro.
-
Moments are easy, probably the easiest thing in the game that you can earn rewards for! Don't love them, but I wouldn't classify something that takes a few minutes to do a nuisance. When it comes to "picking your battles" (there's a figure of speech for you ), this isn't one to fight regarding this game (in my opinion). By the way, congressional testimonies are an even bigger joke!
-
At this stage of the game cycle grinding moments is so tedious and boring I can’t even fathom doing them. It’s 24 hours from the inning program ending and I definitely want babe. I’m 90k away and I can’t bring myself to do the minoso/catfish/posey moments to exchange them. It’s just so boring.

Moments could be available for the masochists out there, but online missions should always be an alternate way of acquiring cards.
“What if I told you it was all meant to be?
Would you believe me?
Would you agree?
It's almost that feeling
We've met before
So tell me that you don't think I'm crazy
When I tell you, love has come here and now
A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever” -

So instead of moments, you want what we had last year- RS and events full of stats beggars and most complaining you couldnt get a competitive game where you did what you were there for- play baseball.
-
Ah, yes. The beggars (remember that homer mission for Junior when he was first introduced into the game?). I turned my messages off years ago, so that doesn’t bother me anymore. But I do remember how annoying that was. Overall, though, I’d take the beggars over Moments. But I hear you..

Only Clemente’s homerund at Forbes
-
Yeah - that was the one. Couldn’t remember if it was TB or HR but that was the only Moment this year to me that was annoying.

You guys are better than me, than. I’ve been frustrated by a ton of moments.
I’m working on the Topps Now moments right now, trying to hit three homeruns in three games with Stanton, and it is taking me entirely too long. I lost count of how many perfect swings haven’t been homers, and how many fly balls have hit the top of the wall.
Every Moment that isn’t accomplished immediately is annoying to me. It’s nothing but pre-programmed annoyance. Gradek said it best above.
Anyway, I’m glad you all enjoy them. I never have and never will. I want to play against human beings, where I can accept the fact that sometimes they’re going to be the beneficiary of the game’s randomness, and sometimes I am. But when the CPU stifles you, on so-called “Rookie” difficulty, I am extremely annoyed.
I’m done with this thread. Good luck in the 10th Inning, everyone.

I never said I enjoyed them, I just said they were easy. Good luck to you as well, I hope there isn’t too many more moments for you to deal with the rest of the year.
