Cards that I can actually use towards earning Griffey.
You wouldn't find that in a classics pack anyway. The only classics are Finest, Monthly awards, Postseason, and future stars. And Finest, Monthly, and Postseason are the easiest Griffey collections to do anyway.

Charles Johnson would go well with a Marlins build as well. Him, Kevin Brown, Moises Alou and Renteria and you almost have their first world series team.

Jeff Reed does have the most fWAR of any catcher while actually playing for the Rockies, at a whopping 4.0 lol.
Iannetta has 3.5, Torrealba has 3.2, Johnson has 2.4, and Girardi has 0.3.
The best catcher that’s ever played for the Rockies is Jonathan Lucroy, but those guys above are the only real options for a Rockies uniform card

I actually liked that card for a bit when it first came out in TA2 I believe.

I really think we get that Mondesi somewhere along the line though.
I don't at this point. An event reward is the only place left for him now and there are too many legends left to justify giving him a card
I don't think it's about what's justified, though. We got a stupid 99 Wander and stupid 99 Torkleson, both cards I like but both cards that were never "justified."
Might be more about fan service at this point. I guess we'll see....
Mondesi even getting that POTM card at all last year was fan service IMO. He has never been overly good at all. At least Wander and Tork have the potential to get to that level. Mondesi is the 2nd coming of Jurickson Profar
Because he's a BR meme, can we get a super-juiced Villar, just for kicks?
The milestone Villar is really good. I made a post about it. I was pretty stoked to see the top 2 players in the world use him in the tournament with success this past weekend. His swing is money.

Well, there’s other catchers that have played for the Rockies that have more fWAR, like Lucroy. Reed, Torrealba, etc. have slightly higher career fWAR totals, but the most fWAR a catcher has put up while wearing a Rockies uniform is only 4. So yeah, the Rockies haven’t exactly been good at getting value from their catchers.

OMG! That Grayson Rodriguez is about to be a problem. He had more stroke outs than anyone in the minors last season. He also hit 103 on the radar a few times. If he doesn’t have outlier it will be a shame. So far the 10th inning is looking really. I haven’t seen a bad card yet.
