New RS -- I'm Out...Maybe

Burnout plus not being able to hit online plus RS being filled with killers this late in the game cycle.
All this means...
I will probably sit out this RS and just buy the card when the price goes down. After all, TA5 basically throws stubs at you.
Anyone else thinking this same way?

Well, it’s Trout and I’d bet there will be at least 500 million stub orders for him. Remember, everyone else gets those stubs from TA5 too and less people are playing or need to sell.

How do you know it's Trout? It could be McCovey
They used “catch” in the tease. They always use fish references for Trout.

I could see these orders filling super slow (and there will be a ton of them to get through). People have more stubs and less desire to actually play RS and the people that do get Trout very likely won’t sell.

Maybe so. I don't ont play online so I'll wait my turn. Most people will keep him too, so there's that complication. We're going to have to wait for people hitting 30 wins for the orders to get filled more than likely.

Not at home but I think I remember seeing the new RS being 11.29 and I’m almost positive.

I'm so angry it is Trout. I despise online play. I doubt many people who earn him will sell him. It's going to be like Chipper Jones last year. I though SDS was trying to prevent this from happening?

I’m not thrilled about it either as I would like to play with the card and it impacts my ability to collect every card, but it isn’t the end of the world if there is a card that is tough to get without grinding RS and rewards online players.

Won’t be as bad as last year because of the reward program. Some people will even pull him twice this season.

There are a lot of good players with buy orders in, who will make world series and win 30 games. That, coupled with a lot of players grinding out 30 wins will put a large number of them in the market. RS will be full of quick quits and tank n ranks.

Does anyone believe he will ever be a buy now possibility? I should have put my buy order on today but now it would be so far down the line I might as well wait. I don't particularly care about using Trout per se but am trying to collect every card. I also don't mind spending 1 million.

If you haven't played much or any RS, I'd say give it a shot. In the beginning you'll be matched against a ton of new players and lots of easy wins and quits. 30 wins will come pretty easy, especially if you're already a patient offline grinder. Just take your God Squad out there and take some hacks. Easy peezy!

I'm at 385 points from several seasons ago. and had just given up because I'm not very good. I'm confused because I've never had to start over. So do I start at 385 or does it reset?
Would love to get Trout but I'm just not that good yet. I'll give it a shot though.

I played 5 games tonight. All quits. A quick 5-0 for me and I'm sitting at 596 right now. I actually was hitting P5 Degrom, Orel, P4 Webb, etc and I'm not sure how I managed that. Guy I was olaying against Orel was up 1-0 in the 4th I think, and I hit a 2 run shot with Gehrig and he dashboarded me. Its just hilarious sometimes. My best win was a walk off with Mays on a PP shot to RF. That felt gooooood. I think i can grind out these 30 wins if I just try. And if I can do it, anyone can.

The only reason to get Trout is if you want to use him in RS, and I'm so done with RS. So, grind RS unhappily to win a card for the mode I least want to play...nah.
The fact that it's a "fake" throwback card and that there are OFers I think are better...nah.
But respect to anyone who grinds for him!
