I think he is inferring that some people are triggered by the suggestion of black catchers but not by traitors storming the Capital on January 6th of this year.
They might lock the thread now since that has been brought up. The inference is incorrect—I'm not upset at all, I'm just concerned that it could start a toxic discussion, that's all.
I have no problem with black catchers in the game whatsoever (they're welcome if they add them). For me it's not the color of your skin that matters—it's how you play the game that matters.
I didn’t mention the word “upset” and did not imply a thing. I explicitly stated that I doubt you universally apply the the low bar for incitement that your established, specially to seditious acts.

You are the one nitpicking here. The OP didn't attack SDS or say anything about them doing a poor job of representation. They very nicely asked for a couple black catchers they consider good enough to be in the game. Why are you so [censored] hurt by this post? -
Maybe we can satisfy the other side by also petitioning for Enos Slaughter to be added. That way the orange fanatics can use a better option than Suzuki.

The issue itself is that baseball has been losing the interest of black youths for years with the old school BS of if you celebrate in any way you're an a hole and other stupid [censored] like the Yankees archaic no facial hair/tattoos and other stuff rules. The MLB itself needs to try harder to bring more black players into the league.
Some of it is cultural and economic but at the end of the day we all have choices. I for one am glad I can make my own choice on what sport(s) I like to play and watch rather than what some person thinks I should.
