I can’t recall SDS ever waiting this long to release a new legend’s highest card. Did you guys forget you had the rights?

They forgot about Griffey too, waiting to release his best card after the WS when interest in baseball dies down a bit is not smart. I guess releasing Griff, Pujols, Puckett is their version of a lifeline for the game. Fail

I think its always tough on them trying to figure out when to get which cards out because you cant please everyone. I feel like they kind if blew it with puckett and even aaron. Aaron was the big name this year but came out relatively late. I feel like puckett was a good player for them to get but at this point no matter what they do to his attributes, he wont be able to compete with the options available. Seems like he could have come out around the same time as Sizemore or Justice. People would have used him for a while before the really big names came out. I know lots of people complain that Griffeys not out yet but for me I dont really care because Ive used him a ton since 18. Same with Ruth. I think puckett is probably the biggest loss though because I assume he cost them something to get the rights and at this point most people wont even know that he was in the game.

I didn't even knew there was a Puckett card until I did the LS Collection last night and saw him pop up as the Twins reward.

If I would've known he had a card, I would've finished them earlier.

Now he doesn't even make the top 5 for CF.

He makes my 80s decade theme team. I’d rather not use Eric Davis and prefer Yount at SS.

Andruw Jones also didn’t receive his 99 until the forever event his first year well after most had moved on from the game.

He still doesn’t have a high Diamond this year actually now that I think about it.

True but his 91 was a first inning boss so a ton of people used him for a while so being a new card in the game he got a lot of exposure. Puckett will be totally lost even with a 99. If they gave Puckett a 93 or 94 early in the game he would have gotten a lot of play.

Not in 19. In 19 he was a new card and was a first inning bos so nearly everyone used him. That’s the point. In the first inning a 91 is a good option so almost everyone tried him out and used him for a while.

You can also argue the fact that Puckett had a Diamond in the game from day one. While only a 87 or whatever he was, he was easy to obtain and use off the get go.

Yep, totally agree. I used him all through TA1 and 2 AL Central because I started late so I didn't get to those programs till June. I had pulled Buxton and finished the Twins collection so I traded them off and really enjoyed Puckett.

I do hope he gets a high 💎, though I agree, not that many people would use him except those who change it up offline and do theme teams.

Is this because you don't like the Eric Davis card or are a huge Puckett fan? I ask because everyone has told me how amazing Davis is but I still struggle with him until he gets on base so I pinch run with him a lot.

I suck with Davis and I envision Kirby as my 3 hitter.

    80s decade theme team:
    LF Rickey
    RF Gwynn
    CF Puckett
    1B Mattingly
    2B Sandberg
    3B Boggs
    C Carter
    SS Yount
