I like that people are coming around to BR as the best mode for BASEBALL.
All star difficulty is fine so long as teams aren't end-game God Squads.
It's actually possible to see pitches and thus lay off them.
Hit variety is increased due to spotty fielding and pitching.
Baserunning is better because most catchers aren't great and every outfielder doesn't have a cannon.
The program makes it possible for average players to get the goods. And if you're a good player but not WS-level, you can keep playing in hopes of going 12-0 or 12 wins.
Made it to 33 points last night, my only issue being that some dicks dashboard if they're gonna lose. Cost me about 7, maybe 14 points.
Very solid post about BR. I don't have an answer but wish there was some type of incentive to keep playing BR when done with the program for those of us who will never sniff 12-0.

the incentive for BR is to go 12-0, even for those who think they cant, thats the whole point of BR, trying to go 12-0, the program is there tobe a bonus to reward th grind.
I get that. That has been very clear since started playing DD years ago. Those of us that can't would like some sort of incentive to play it after completing the program. I don't think it should be a reward near the level of flawless but something would be nice.. The program was a fantastic idea by SDS and I know it brought new BR players in like myself. With it being costing 1500 each draft it makes it even less enticing once the program is completed. I realize this likely doesn't affect you as a WS player.

No, you are completely wrong. Nice assumptions though. I said earlier I don't have an answer, there are just some players that stop playing BR once the program is complete. And you couldn't be more wrong about my opinion. While I do enjoy things like the BR program SDS has gone way too far over into the "participation trophy" realm. I'm in the minority but I enjoyed having to work or make stubs to buy the elite rewards from guys that sold them.

I haven't read most of the back and forth here so I really don't have a horse in this race, but I don't understand why $$$ needs to be involved. Just play each other and get it over with.
The best forum showdown I remember was the guy that put his posting privileges on the line. It took a while, but he did eventually stop posting here, although between the PS, Xbox, and MLB accounts he could still be around under an alias.
