Bullpen Game

Has anyone tried to throw a bullpen game at all? WIth starters throwing like 130 pitches per game I was thinking about trying one. Has anyone had success?

Yes. Do it every 3-4 games. It’s fun. More fun than sticking with a starter.
Really puts off the other person too.
Need a combination though I think for it to be really effective.
I start with someone like Darren O’Day for 2 innings then bring in Plesaac. Then right. Then left.
Obviously the other player will never get used to you but the one disadvantage is if they get a taste for a relief pitcher then you’re screwed.

I use an opener every couple games just to keep it fresh

I'll use my 4 or 5 starter for like 4 innings then go all pen.
