8th Inning guesses

Sale and Babe seem like good bets and I'd probably pick up both. I don't know who to guess for 'the power'. I kind of lean toward a somewhat lesser name like Harmon Killebrew over huge names like Pujols, Mays, Griffey, Foxx, etc.

With the amount of nicknames Babe has, and his lack of 99 card he would be my safe guess.

I think everyone's sleeping on Tatis. He's the cover boy and doesn't have ONE SINGLE flashback card, correct?
Don't mean as an inning boss, but a 99 card-collection in the near future.
How can we have a 99 Wander, Torkelson, et al., and NOT a 99 Tatis?

Boss #1 being Chris Sale is a W. He will be good because of his pitching angle. I just hope they don’t do him dirty like Pedro. I hope they give him at least 110 hits per 9. I’m sure his k per 9 will be good. Now I just want to see Babe Ruth so I don’t have to pay 900k for Gehrig.

I will say my thoughts on H/9 again. I don't think pedro, the TA4 pitchers, Kershaw etc. were done dirty on H/9. I don't think the no-hitter cards needed to exist

I mean they messed up early on givijg people such high hits per 9 with outlier. Now you almost need high hits per 9 to be decent. They already opened up the can of worms so they might as well keep it going and give Chris Sale a good card. Otherwise he won’t be the boss being picked.

2019: 97 Bryce Harper wasn't released until 10/9
2018: only Judge flashback (90 Postseason) wasn't released until 11/6 -

The problem with that is you can get rid of the No-hitter cards in future games. Signature, Milestones that aren't no hitters, prime, and awards are actually based off of some sort of formula. No hitter cards, future stars, finest, and topps now/monthly are not. I don't know if you have played previous games but guys that get the same card type they got in previous years 99% of the time are the exact same attributes(one notable card that was juiced for whatever reason was Vlad Sr. Signature). For example, Matt Weiters, Donaldson, Machado's awards cards have the exact same attributes as last year. You can't just juice Pedro's H/9 because they messed up with no hitter cards then go back and release signature pedro again in MLB 23 with the attributes he currently has. Its much easier to just deal with it this year and get rid of the no-hitter cards next year

The larger problem is that there are too many 99 cards too soon in the season. I know, I know, they have to do it. But the game lacks personality.
Why not get rid of OVR and have people just look at stats? I bet we'd get more variety in team builds if that were the case...
