I am still new to using the market and I'm curious what factors effect it other than the obvious rewards in conquests and new programs.

The last few days, the market was on warp speed, cards moving incredibly fast and today it feels stagnant. Like a garage sale in the rain. Also, several cards that have nothing to do with the event have spiked in price (i.e. 7th inning bosses, sig series Greinke, HRD Mancini etc.)

Is it just one of those days or is there some rhyme or reason to the markets radical shifts the last few days. I understand the event cards but not the others.

It's my first year, but I am pretty good with the market. There are just some days and things you can't explain. Stubs sales and flash sales impact the market but neither of those are happening now.

Bosses tend to stay close together in price and Hank is event eligible...so that could push all up in price. Mancini doesn't look that different to me...he is at what I sold him at a few days back. Greinke looks like someone might have played the "buy them all up game". Sometimes people will see only a handful of a card for sale and buy them up to try and drive up the price. Sometimes people will panic and over pay, but most of the time it just regulates itself in a few hours or a day.

Last thing is that more and more people are tying stubs up in Gehrig and Wagner. That is one or two million stubs that a few hundred people now have tied up. Those are probably some of the most active market people and those are stubs that are now not being used for anything.

The prices may be high for a while since people can grind threw RIB showdowns to make stubs.

7th inning bosses are probably going up because the program is a week from ending so people want to buy them to get a boost for next inning.

Good point, I keep forgetting this inning is a week short. Thankfully they've made it pretty easy to fly through.
