The complete ignorance for the Mariners players (this year especially) is shameful.

San Diego is West coast as well, genius

The Mariners single handedly eliminated the As lol. The Ms beat the As 12 TIMES IN A ROW.

Mariners are out in the West Coast, so all their games finish after San Diego Studio employees go to bed.
Seattle is Pacific standard time just like San Diego

Flexen has 3 plus WAR on the season. Better than Stanton (2.7) who just went diamond. Harrison Bader has 3.2 and also just went diamond.
1.You can't compare pitchers to position players
2. WAR is not a stat that helps any attribute and therefore means nothing for overall ratings.Flexen has very low K/9 and H/9 attributes. This is a common issue with pitchers. SDS's formulas seem to highly favor K/9 and H/9. If you are a pitch to contact guy, or a pitcher who induces soft contact you are screwed by their formula.
Adam Wainwright will probably earn some votes for Cy Young this year and he is only an 80 because his K/9 rating is 53 which keeps his overall at 80.

The A’s lost a lot more than 12 games this year, homie… as I said, they completely collapsed. They have no one to blame but themselves, and they’d have lost to the Orioles the way that bullpen was handing out runs down the stretch… that doesn’t make the Mariners a good team.
Enjoy it, because the M’s aren’t going to sniff the post season for a good long while. The A’s will regroup, as they do, and they’ll be back to drop another elimination game within the next two years, before they leave for Las Vegas.

Beware though, in 2016 the Rangers won the division doing the same thing. Got destroyed by Toronto and it's been all down hill since.

All that means is when they lose they get blown out. When they win they win by 1
Nah… over a long season, it means they aren’t that good. Trust me, I understand feeling like your home boys got slighted, but the Mariners are only where they are because the A’s collapsed. The Mariners just aren’t very good, and they’ll be a third or fourth place team next year, like they should have been this year.
While I agree the M's are lucky to be in the position they are in this year, I do think they have a shot at the playoffs next year too. The rangers stink, the Angels have no pitching outside of Ohtani and there is no reason to expect him to be this good on the pitching side next year, and the Astros are very likely going to lose their best offensive player(Correa). Pair that with Lewis coming back and Rodriguez getting called up and they are a very dangerous team. They got some very good young talent
In a lot of instances, upcoming teams that over perform take a step back before establishing themselves; wouldn’t surprise me that they would sink next year and then contend in 2023 and beyond. They’ll be breaking in lots of young players and there will be growing pains. I say enjoy this year and don’t sweat it.

Ty France should have gone up at least 1 spot to 79. To leave him at 78 made no sense.

The last player upgrades completely missed out on the post season contending Mariners who’s live series players are undervalued. I know sds has biases with certain teams but the Mariners bullpen has been so lights out this year without one above 82 overall. The starting pitching has the stats to be well above their ratings especially Chris Flexen who is still a 72 bronze. Please upgrade my Mariners based on what they’ve accomplished this year and stop ignoring Ty France and JP Crawford as well.
play as them in online rated if a true fan and give them their shine

Run differential is a very good tool to evaluate teams. Generally speaking good teams have positive run differentials and poor teams have negative run differentials. Obviously there are outliers from year to year but that’s why they are considered outliers. Seattle was incredibly lucky this year to be where they ended up. I mean we only have to look no further than the NL to make an argument counter to the Seattle team. The Brave had a +134 run differential and only won 88 games. The Brewers had +115 run differential and won 95 games. So are the Brewers a better team than the Braves. That question will be answered this week. So back to Seattle’s situation, they win 90 games and have a -51 run differential. The Oakland A’s have +56 run differential and they finish in 3rd place. To me that sounds like Oakland is clearly the better team. They outscored Seattle by over 100 runs. That’s not an insignificant amount of runs. Yet here we are with Seattle barely missing out and Oakland scratching their head.
