I'll admit ignorance as far as programming video games. I know nothing or close to it. That said, how difficult is it to tweak the SP stamina? Just faced P3 99 Felix Hernandez and after 150!!! pitches in 7 innings his stamina was still in the green!
I already claimed my ignorance but I'll assume at this point it won't be touched for '21. Hopefully it's at the very top of the list for changes in '22!
Really looking forward to a response. Thank you.
I appreciate a very respectful complaint and I really hope they follow through with this next year at the very least. There is ZERO incentive to taking pitches and working the count this year. Not to mention it’s highly unrealistic
This is one of the main reasons I get tired of ranked. Been playing at HOF this season (I always stopped at 700 before now) and there is just no benefit to taking pitches. I also never get to use my bullpen arms that I would like to use...maybe every once in a while in an extra inning game, but it just takes away from a 9 inning baseball game.

Couldn't agree more! Then add the fact that we now have 8 BP arms instead of 7 but they rarely are needed!
Looking at your opponents BP stamina and planning an approach to attack the SP right away or be more patient used to be a big part of RS. Now everyone nearly always has 8 guys at full stamina. Not that it much matters. It’s true though. I’m a very good pitcher, better than hitter and combine that with the way HOF is hard to hit for most people, I hardly ever need to use my bullpen and it kinda sucks. I’m sure I could get by with only 4 arms in the pen
-
Said above but my biggest issue is I never have to use my bullpen. It's extremely rare that I have to use more than 2 different guys in a 2 game period. Meaning by the time I have to hit bullpen again, they are already full health. So out of the 8 available arms I maybe use 2...then I have to get used to pitching with them again.
-
Agreed, hopefully this is something that gets fixed. Unless your starter is getting shelled there isn't much reason to use your bullpen this year.
-
I remember that people were abusing the best SP out of the pen almost every game last year, so they went a little to heavy on taking away a pitcher’s stamina. So people complained about that.
It’s refreshing to see a post that is not just a bunch of negativity. -
The fact that it hasn’t been fixed yet definitely implies that there isn’t a simple solution for it, or they just don’t know what is actually causing it.

Most Software Developers are smart and I bet at the level of being employed by Sony, they are exceptionally smart. I work with developers frequently in my role and they tend to diagnose problems relatively quickly. There are automated tools that test software these days and I will go as far as to bet that Sony figured the stamina issue out prior to it being reported by the user community.
The issue with developing software is that you can't let a fix impact other areas of gameplay. Every time that you implement code changes in one area it has the chance to impact other areas. That just can't happen with big online games as it is bad for business. It has been well documented that PPP decreases stamina more quickly. There is even a small chance that SDS did it on purpose to get the fan base to try PPP instead of using meter. Simple changes like a players appearance or how a page looks are relatively easy, but the changes that impact gameplay aren't as simple normally.
With that said, I am going to bet that at this point in the year the resources of SDS (Testers/Developers/DB's) are fccused on next years game heavily.

Sadly there will not be an official response on the forums. It is a legitimate problem though, agreed there.
I think as already mentioned, we’ll it’s more of a Hope that next years game will address many gameplay issues and mechanics. With this being the first year being multi-platform there was probably a bigger emphasis on getting it programmed for Xbox. Now that the groundwork has been laid there, let’s have the focus be strictly gameplay now.

It's all about sliders. They can adjust recovery time between games, but not the impact intra-game.
You won't see a tweak this late in the cycle and unfortunately it was written (as indicated Ina few posts earlier) to combat the whining of last year.

I am pretty sure by this point it is what it is. Seasons almost over. Game is what it is.
