Get rid of the outer pci

Do we really need this?
I know it’s probably too much to ask that hit outcomes only occur after decent swings where the ball is actually inside the pci.
That said, the hits on swings where the ball is nowhere near the inner pci, and the fouling off of pitches up in the zone by swings down in the zone (and vice versa) are just blatant attempts to reward bad players to keep them interested.
The outer pci does nothing good for the gameplay, imho.

Have you seen the averages on HoF for most people? There would have to be serious reworks to pitch speeds and the inner pci, and if they do the things I listed above, the top community will cry. Personally I'd rather have the outer then all that.

He's talking about in terms of the outer PCI and how it effects contact. The outer PCI extends further this year to make up for PPP accuracy (IMO). Whether or not the PCI is on or off, it still exists in the swing outcome.

It actually doesn't "extend" further really, it's just before the outer pci existed you could still foul off pitches not in your pci. Foul balls were actually much worse back then believe it or not

For me I don't see how it could have been worse. It just doesn't feel balanced this year for me. Last year I could strike people out and couldn't hit. This year, I can hit but can't pitch. Go figure...LOL

For me I don't see how it could have been worse. It just doesn't feel balanced this year for me. Last year I could strike people out and couldn't hit. This year, I can hit but can't pitch. Go figure...LOL

If you don't like the outer PCI, you can turn it off! Why get rid of it for everyone when you and everyone else who doesn't like it can just turn it off?
I turned mine off a long time ago, but I don't demand to get rid of it for everyone because I'm not a jerrk!

I'm not saying it's better one way or the other, but you have no idea what you're talking about. You've turned off the visual indication of the outer PCI while batting. The outer PCI is still there. Just look at your feedback after you swing. What the OP is proposing is not the same thing as what you're thinking.

I literally can't hit worth a darn online. Luckily I'm really good at pitching. But it's not as fun having every game where neither of us barely have any hits lol.

I don't know what things were like in previous years, but I really like the idea of no outer PCI. I have been thinking for weeks that All Star without outer PCI would be a lot of fun. Now HOF without the outer PCI...that would be nothing short of a major challenge for myself.

Before there was no outer pci, you could just foul off pitches that isn't touching any of the pci at all, so it essentially randomly decided "Hey you fouled that off!" and it did that a ton, think of how broken check swings were in 20, that's the level it was at.

I have a hard time hitting on HOF too, but my problem is more that there are SO many non pci hits in the game.
Obviously there are bloops and jam shots irl, but imo they are far too frequent, as are good swing outs.
