Daily Moment Ideas
-
Figured I would start a thread that can possibly help SDS improve the daily moments in future versions. So far the variety of missions is lacking considerably. Overall we need different types of moments other than just pitching and hitting. Daily moments should include all aspects of the game by recreating different game situations. This also helps with newcomers to learn how to play the game in these specific situations. Example ideas below:
Idea #1: stolen base moments for guys like Rickey and Lofton
Idea #2: sacrifice bunts to get game winning run in scoring position and then knock him in, or squeeze bunt situations to win the game
Idea #3: rob a home run by jumping/climbing the wall or throw out a runner at home on a game winning sac fly attempt.
These are just a few ideas off the top of my head. Let’s add some more to this thread and maybe SDS can implement this in MLB The Show 22.

Like someone already said on here Moments need to be renamed to Minutes or Hours. Doing any of the three things listed above feels like they would take forever. I wouldn't mind them giving us a moment and then letting us pick the player, with a point system that would reflect what level of player you selected.

Idea #4: 16 TB with Johny Damon in one game
-
Daily moments shouldn't take all day...
-
Not necessarily a daily moments comment, but I really quite enjoyed the Keith Hernandez moments. Stuff like get a hit and 2 RBIs. Those are actual moments and they’re more fun than the same old “get 2 xbh or 8 TB”.
-
Oh and get rid of pitching moments. They’re just boring and tedious. And if you fail, you just wasted 10-15 minutes. There’s nothing worse than having a “get 10ks, pitch 7 innings and don’t give up a run” and giving up the run in the 7th inning.

Idea #45 - Bunt dance 3 times in one AB. Done in 10 seconds. 2 points.

LOL @ all of you complaining about daily moments. Sure some of them suck and are annoying to do. But I can't wait for MOMENTS EXTREME. I have a feeling a lot of you will be needing new TV's and controllers once they come out.

The ones in Topps Now are usually the last ones I do for that very reason.

Same here.

Moments wouldnt be so bad if the cpu strategy was playing the game instead of preventing the mission completion.

You enjoyed the Nolan Ryan moment? Man that frustrated me to no end. Glad someone enjoyed it

Not me. I skip those. If I'm going to get frustrated playing a video game then it's no longer fun to play. I shouldn't be more stressed out after playing something that's supposed to be relaxing.

Ha, not necessarily that one. It took me a while. But just the concept of those moments.
Instead of just random get 2 xbh, get on 2 times, get 8-10 TB, etc.

Especially after the batter fouls off 12 pitches

If you want me to recreate a “moment”, then give me a batter (or pitcher) that reflects that moment.
For example, a while ago, we needed to recreate tatis and his grand slam on a 3-0 count while ahead by a bunch of runs.
Give me a tatis batter with power numbers that will hit the homer and have the pitcher throw a pitch down the middle of the plate.
Then, if I swing so that the feedback is good or perfect, have the ball go over the fence.
They you go, moment recreated!!

I agree and I hear you, I thought the Mays daily moment was going to take me forever tonight when i finally got around to it, i got lucky and finished it on the 3rd at bat but i have had just about enough with these 8 TB moments and we haven't even seen Extreme.
