TA4 Stub Influx, How'd You Do?
-
How did you do with the TA4 and CK drop?
I don't want Clayton so I sold all the collection cards I had. I started with around 5k stubs on Friday and ended up with 700k. Pulled Trout from my 90+ LS pack, pulled DeGrom and around 10 other diamonds from other packs from the program. Sold all the cards from the HRD and AS packs I have so far (base rounds only). I still have half the program to go too.
Sitting on 1.1MM stubs right now.
-
I didn't save any stubs but in actuality I did. I bought a bunch of players I wanted for half price, I could sell them but I doubt I will. I have 700k still in stubs.
-
600k in stubs and after 4 more conquest games The only 2 cards I have left to collect are Asa Lacy and Jeter downs, who I will earn via event wins. Basically it sped up the acquisition of Donaldson and Davis by 2 weeks
-
I bought Larry Walker for a bench bat, picked up Andrew Miller for the pen. I like my team, gonna have to start playing RS more now.
-
1 conquest map to go, i havn't pulled anything of substantial value yet but i have 4 divisions left and i just sold all my perks and sponsorships i wasn't using and now i sit at 500k and I got the Donaldson card I wanted. 2 cards to go (Verlander and Davis)
-
Started at 1M currently at 2.3M.
-
Spent 90k each on Kemp, Pedro, and Brett. Sold Brett for around 370k last week so had no problem buying all 3 for 90 a pop.
Pulled 1 diamond out of all the BIAH packs in TA4. Think there's 30 in the program plus 20+ (guess) from the conquests.
Pulled 4-5 other diamonds in all the other packs, none of note.
Base round in all 6 specialty packs in the program (HRD, ASG, FOD).Finally, I spent around 70k on Lefty Grove. Needed 1 more awards card for Kershaw and I wanted to get someone I'd actually use.
All told I ended the weekend at 3.4 (ish) million stubs, which is around where I started. No complaints.

Started around 800k and I'm around 2 million now with still central conquest and al and nl central TA
Kinda hard to be excited tho, there's nothing left to buy and online play just got more sweaty. Now every game will be 102 zipping all over the place

Exactly.

I'm curious, it's my first year playing so I'm trying to collect everything. And while I'm not overly enthusiastic about Kershaw, it's a game objective so I'll try to complete it.
My question: Why sell all these collection cards for stubs just to buy other collection cards? I obviously get selling duplicates and of course if you pull a Trout, Degrom etc and have already finished the LS series of course you sell. But why sell the collection cards you only have 1 of? I understand if you know the market well enough that you can repurchase them later for cheaper. But I was able to buy several cards I wanted for half the normal price. Are you assuming there will be some bigger collection you'll need a ton of stubs for?
Again, I'd love to hear the strategy in case I'm missing something good. Thanks.

Still got 2 divisions to go and sitting at about half a million.
I am slightly tempted to sell Verlander and buy back later
-
Up 400K so far. Only have acquired 4 TA4 player, Mantle, Boggs, Seaver, and Olerud. Almost Done the central conquest map.
-
Right now after buy/sell orders clear I'm sitting on 900k+ and waiting for gold Snider or Molitor to go through and I'll have Kershaw. I had plenty of silvers & bronzes to do all the collections and exchanges for TA4 too. I have a ton left over that I'm going to sell off at some point, just going to take forever to put all the sell orders in.
-
One thing for sure is that everyone is too rich atm. The game is only 5 months old!

Everyone has different a strategy. Collecting every card certainly isn't for everyone. I don't personally sell unless its a duplicate, but I also don't invest, which is a very good strategy for a lot of people. You just need to find your own strategy for making stubs that work for you. Me personally I've been flipping the same 5 cards for 3 months

2.5 mil and collected Kershaw. I was actually excited for Kershaw. I remember ‘19 too well to discount him.
-
I’m sitting at 750K after buying 30 Brett’s, 5 Kemp’s and 5 Pedro’s. Looking to bank big next inning

I don't understand either. I try to keep atleast 1 of every card even if I don't need it. Like right now I probably have a million stubs worth of cards that I didn't use for Kershaw, but it would be dumb to sell them incase I need them later. Plus stubs are easy to make

So thoughts on Kershaw? I could probably get him if I lock in all my stubs.

I got to my highest stub total which was about 380K. I don’t play the market, don’t buy stubs. That was a lot to me so I treated myself to Josh Donaldson’s MVP card.
I know some people love accumulating massive amounts of stubs and that’s cool, not my style though so I’ll never break a million.
